You realize that isn't sustainable, right? That when Commie Bernie promises you that free house and that free health care and that puppy, someone is going to have to pay for it.

Otherwise you end up eating that puppy, like they do in Venezuela, where they were stupid enough to put a Bernie in charge.

Commie Biden is the one running up the debt.

Oh, I don't know, maybe you should look at the bigger picture like a grownup.
You're the one talking like a child. I voted for Hillary in the end, I just don't blame people who didn't. Blame Hillary for being an unappealing candidate.
Heck, I personally didn't like Hillary, but she was better than the alternatives. The fact that Bernie's Communism and Trump's Fascism appeal to so much of the country should really kind of terrify you.
I guess I don't frighten as easily. :dunno: I didn't need the election of Trump to realize half this country is full of deplorable mutant racists or the loss of Hillary to tell me working class people are fed up with the status quo, the rising cost of living and the inability of wages to keep up with it.
Oh, absolutely. I served in the military for 11 years, protecting this country and her constitution, and watching so many people willing to throw it away annoys me.
What you were supposed to be protecting is democracy, not collecting IOUs for your preferred candidate.
If you're homeless, don't make more kids.
Well problem fucking solved I guess. We need more mensa candidates like you in office with these big brain ideas.
The craziness was giving these people vouchers and putting them in neighborhoods where the people work hard to have nice things. So we had shit like 5 people in a one-bedroom, trash in the halls and people passed out by their front doors. It was a nice condo association, but they made the mistake of not imposing an "Owner Occupancy" rule, so when owners moved to something better, they rented out to any dreg who could come up with a Section 8 voucher.
So you'd prefer if we spent tax dollars keeping the homeless out of your eyesight? Geez, I wonder why that isn't an appealing policy to decent human beings.....
The next place I bought- I made sure they had an owner occupancy rule in place.

That when you make it profitable to give homes to dregs, you really don't get the best people. You see, when the Housing market collapsed in 2008, these units could get snapped up for a song, and they were. The people who bought them were willing to rent to anyone, and this is where we started getting the Section 8 people.
If you're not going to care about people don't expect them to care about your society. Seems obvious enough to me. Calling people dregs is self perpetuating.
No, I just wonder how someone could have a well-paying job and not be able to put a roof over her head.
I said full time job, not well paying. Florida is in the midst of a nursing shortage because many have opted to do travel nursing instead since it pays a lot more.
Yeah, because I know enough history to know his kinds of promises, we end up like Venezuela, eating our dogs and cats.
Or maybe like the rest of the developed world with capitalism and a safety net that doesn't let people go homeless or die because they can't afford healthcare?

No, I blame people who couldn't get past their misogyny enough to vote for her, and wasting their votes on people who had no chance of winning.

guess I don't frighten aa easily. :dunno: I didn't need the election of Trump to realize half this country is full of deplorable mutant racists or the loss of Hillary to tell me working class people are fed up with the status quo, the rising cost of living and the inability of wages to keep up with it.

Really? Frankly, in the 1930's, people tried to convince themselves that Hitler REALLY didn't mean all those awful things he said in Mein Kampf. He pretty much outlined what he planned for Europe, but everyone said, "Naw, it'll be fine!"

I'm sure people are fed up with the status quo, but Bernie and Trump were the wrong answers... they've been tried in other countries.

Half the country is not "Deplorable mutant racists". This is the problem with what Hillary said, with her basket of "deplorables" comments. She was trying to point out that there was genuine angst in the working-class whites who supported Trump. Where she got it wrong was saying "Half" of them were "deplorables".

The biggest mistake the GOP has made in recent years was losing touch with working-class whites and their concerns. I think Bill Clinton kind of got it. Everyone else, including his wife, have been tone deaf.

What you were supposed to be protecting is democracy, not collecting IOUs for your preferred candidate.
Exactly, which is why you don't vote for fascists or communists.

Well problem fucking solved I guess. We need more mensa candidates like you in office with these big brain ideas.
It doesn't take a Mensa member to realize that if you subsidize sloth and irresponsibility, you get more of it. I'm all for a safety net; I have a huge problem with a safety Hammock.

So you'd prefer if we spent tax dollars keeping the homeless out of your eyesight? Geez, I wonder why that isn't an appealing policy to decent human beings.....

I don't see most liberals taking some smelly stew bum into their homes.

A large part of the "Homeless" problem is because liberal do-gooders shut down the mental hospitals and tore down the "Skid Rows". They also tore down the housing projects in favor of just giving them a voucher and letting them move out to the burbs. We've seen how well that worked out.

If you're not going to care about people don't expect them to care about your society. Seems obvious enough to me. Calling people dregs is self perpetuating.

These people need to care about themselves first. If you are having five kids by three different fathers and expecting the government to pay for it all, you aren't engaging in self-care. That's the problem with the modern welfare state: it penalizes the good behavior (working hard, playing by the rules) with taxes and subsidizes the bad behavior with government benefits.

I said full time job, not well paying. Florida is in the midst of a nursing shortage because many have opted to do travel nursing instead since it pays a lot more.

Nurses in Florida can make up to 96K a year, according to Salary.com. If you can't make it on 96K a year, shame on you.

Or maybe like the rest of the developed world with capitalism and a safety net that doesn't let people go homeless or die because they can't afford healthcare?

I'm all for that.. that isn't what Commie Bernie is proposing. Commie Bernie wants us to be Venezuela.

The problem for Democrats is that their radical side includes the whole party. On the other hand, the Republican radicals, neocons, are even hated by the America first Republicans. Democrats ALL vote for crazy bullshit like defund or disband police, totally open borders, higher taxes, amnesty and full benefits for illegal aliens, student loan bailouts, etc. etc. They favor racist CRT, woke craziness, smash and grab, lockdowns and mandates, letting murderers walk free, censoring speech, sex change for children and they fight every attempt to ensure free and fair elections. That's why the independents who haven't been brainwashed by our education system will overwhelmingly vote for republicans, if only to counter the crazies. MAGA
and of course this is nonsense.
Democrats systematically sideline all sorts of groups

Obviously this is pointless. I entertained you because normally you aren't a dumb ass but if you feel like Bernie Sanders wants to turn us into Venezuela and force you to eat puppies or whatever ok. I just don't care enough about your stupid. :dunno:

Stupid would be thinking some Commie from Vermont who has been in Congress for 30 years and has accomplished ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in that time was the answer.

Oh, as for Bernie and his love for Venezuela, I typed in "Bernie sanders praises" and it finished "Venezuela".

Progressive Hollywood celebrities and self-titled socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders have pointed to Venezuela as an example of socialism working. In 2011, Sanders said that “the American dream is more apt to be realized in South America, in places such as Ecuador, Venezuela and Argentina.”

He's also praised Cuba.

Bernie Sanders has come under attack from Democrats and Republicans this past week over his praise for social programs implemented by the late Cuban dictator Fidel Castro, a sign of the increasing scrutiny the Vermont senator faces as he has ascended to become the front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Over parts of five decades, Sanders more than any other national political figure has engaged and, at times, defended the Cuban government, Daniel Ortega’s Nicaragua and other controversial leaders across Latin America and Russia – a stark break from the foreign policy consensus that dominated American political circles since the end of World War II.

I don't care you pussy. Be frightened of Bernie. :dunno:

Of course you don't care. I don't think America would ever nominate anyone as crazy left as Bernie to start with, but they will keep putting people like AOC into Congress who have no business being there.
And you'll continue to fret and cry about it I suppose. :dunno:

Commie Biden is the one running up the debt.
True, though Commie Hillary made warmongering feel even less shameless. What a bitchfest. *All hail our Great Duopoly! The billionaires shall Shirley save us.. with free ponies, no dogs.
*(looks like a good 8 minute read lurking behind a paywall.. darn!)

I'll note how it aids the other side, um, yeah.
What does? Your unwillingness to form a coalition with others?
Most of the people who support Bernie now are stupid college kids who are going to realize how stupid they sounded when they get a mortgage and a job.
I'm a grandfather and all the Bernie supporters I know are adults with jobs and homes and everything. Maybe don't spit in the direction you're asking for help from?

Congrats. 24 years older and soon to be a grandfather myself. I supported Bernie for many a year, but he's completely sold out to the DNC, FAICT. Fool me twice, shame on me. Jayapal style Medicare-4-All? Absolutely. Sorry, Joe. No free dogs or ponies.

I don't think he sold out. I just don't think he was the fighter everyone wanted him to be. At the end of the day he was going to make the what he thought was the best deal possible. It may not be many of his supporters wanted but I don't really blame him for it. Pragmatism is as valid as idealism.

Not entirely true. The democrat party is all but monolithic, while the Republican party has open factions. The neo-cons, conservatives, RINOs, MAGAs, the Never-Trumpers... The Republican party is rather diverse, and independently minded. Even if it does contain a faction that is but a carbon copy of the Democrats...
NeverTrumpers left the republican party long ago.
