Mitt Romney Under ‘Active and Serious Consideration’ as Secretary of State

Romney won't serve as SoS if Trump does not commit to following R's lead on foreign policy, according to Josh Romney.

Squirrel top needs some legitimacy and balance in his cabinet, Romney provides that.

Romney also happens to be diametrically opposed to much of Trumps foreign policy positioning.

I think it's bullshit, Trump is just playing people, people like Pence who probably arranged the meeting.
Romney is a corporate pirate, surely he could be used as a liaison of the US in hostile takeovers of foreign corporations..

Romney impressed Trump in the meeting by showing him he could find Syria on a map.
Romney impressed the world when he humiliated Obama during the debates. Despite not having 1/100th of the national security info available to Obama, he showed that Obama was clueless and that he was exponentially more qualified to be commander in chief.

Yet, it was not his destiny, Gawd had other plans for Mittens, horse dancing events at the summer Olympics.....Ah the Fates..

There would be no one better for Secretary of State. Romney is extremely bright, has his finger on the pulse of the geopolitical landscape, and has the perfect demeanor for the job.

He would most likely go down as the best Secretary of State of all time. And perhaps it would open up the possibility of another run for the presidency for him.

Trump is a wildcard who ran as a Republican with no experience in politics at all. He needs help, I wouldn't be surprised if he is listening to what Romney has to say. I bet his new found respect for Obama is genuine as well.

I don't know about all that but Romney is at least competent and has a steady demeanor, someone trustworthy for the most part...

You mean when he lied about whether or not Obama called Benghazi terrorism?

No....I mean when he said that Russia was the biggest geopolitical threat and Obama laughed. Then Obama spent all of 2015 trying to explain why Russia was showing such extreme aggression towards the U.S., even buzzing our Naval fleet with their fighter jets.

Dumbocrats pulled their usual drama-queen b.s. during the previous election - acting like Mitt Romney was satan and the world would crumble if he were elected. Bet they wish Romney had just been re-elected for his second term now.

Oh, and when did Trump agree with Romney on that?

The same time the rest of America agreed with that - right when Romney said it. Maybe if Obama hadn't been skipping national security meetings to go golfing, he wouldn't have looked so out of touch.

WTF?? Trump and Putin all but consummated gay love.

Trump was talking shit about NATO. NEVER uttered a single bad word about Russian foreign policy, Cheered on Russian intervention in our election, kept equalizing rebels and ISIS in Syria.

Ruskies were poping champagne bottles when Trump won:

To say that this is in some shape or form consistent with Romney's hawkish positions on Russia takes a very special brand of mindset - a fucking lunatic.

Well that is a very special form of stupid. Because you post video of Russia's views on Trump that somehow illustrates Trump's views on Russia? :lmao:
