Farm subsidies started in the 1930's under FDR. They have continually been abused. We have lots of rich farmers in the country (on both sides of the isle) that continue to get tax payer dollars.

It's just another government program that was originated to help farmers during very hard times--that never went away. It's our federal government at work.

The point of this thread is to unjustly accuse a citizen of this Country of being something they are not because of politics. To imply they are stealing money when they are not. To imply that they are receiving unjust compensation simply because they LEGALLY participate in a Government program.

SO I assume that must mean, if this is not about politics, that ALL people that LEGALLY participate in Government programs that have some monetary component must all be the same adjectives you have chosen to heap on this one person.

Further if this is not just about attacking a political opponent that since the term bantered about is Socialist/Socialism that ANYONE that actually SUPPORTS these programs, votes for them, works to get them passed must by definition also be Socialists?

I would still vote in a heart beat to remove Social Security as a Federal Government program.

People that participate in the Farmer program meet specific criteria and have all paid taxes as well. It would be beyond ignorant if one meets the criteria to NOT participate.

This is nothing more than a political witch hunt. Which is my point and is the point of this thread.
