The point of this thread is to unjustly accuse a citizen of this Country of being something they are not because of politics. To imply they are stealing money when they are not. To imply that they are receiving unjust compensation simply because they LEGALLY participate in a Government program.

SO I assume that must mean, if this is not about politics, that ALL people that LEGALLY participate in Government programs that have some monetary component must all be the same adjectives you have chosen to heap on this one person.

Further if this is not just about attacking a political opponent that since the term bantered about is Socialist/Socialism that ANYONE that actually SUPPORTS these programs, votes for them, works to get them passed must by definition also be Socialists?

So yeah, you don't get it.

The point is that she is opposed to others receiving assistance with health care, because it's not something that SHE needs, but isn't opposed to programs which would directly benefit her. She doesn't care about the needs of others.

Yes, they do me too, I am pretty sure those subsidies go out to 99% of those farmers out in Minnesota, they are paid federal dollars each and every year that I have known about. In some cases they are paid not to grow a certain crop. I beleive this all happened during the Rosevelt years.

Just another example of HISTORICALLY challenged liberals. Take a history class and get yourself educated on farm subsidies.

When Roosevelt became president, he also intervened
in the farm business, but in a different way. He
supported the Agricultural Adjustment Act (AAA),
which dealt with the problem of oversupply by paying
farmers not to produce.As for farm prices, they would
be pegged to the purchasing power of farm prices in
1910; millers and processors would pay for much of the
cost of the program, which of course meant an increase
for consumers in the price of everything from bread to
shirts.
Two concepts in the AAA are fascinating. First is
the idea that because farmers overproduce some crops
the government ought to pay them not to grow on part
of their land. Second is the idea of “parity,” that farmers
ought to be protected from falling prices by fixing
them so that they were comparable to the purchasing
power of their crop in the excellent years 1909–14.
Let’s tackle both of these concepts one at a time.
First, Supreme Court Justice Owen Roberts voted with
most of the rest of the Court to strike down the AAA as
unconstitutional. In doing so, he posed the following
analogy:

No one accused her of wrongdoing. They are accusing her of being a hypocrit since she keeps saying that government subsidieds are wrong--she is against healthcare subsidies for that reason. Unless it's good for her, she doesn't want it.

And being a hypocrite is a crime? What about Barak Insane Obama, who was a hypocrite during the election by promising things he knew he couldn't deliver? What about Ted Kennedy, who had MA change its election law to benefit democrats, and then had them change it back again when that became beneficial? What about Barney Frank, who wanted to roll the dice on Fannie, and now appears as a paragon of fiscal virtue?
Bachmann took advantage of a government program and was well within her rights to do so. How is that hypocrisy?
