The monies for GM and Chrysler saved many jobs and they have paid back a lot of that money. Obama is on record as saying he wasn't happy about doing it.

If he hadn't your country would be in a lot worse situation now, and that includes if the big investment banks had failed, too.

It's easy to be idealogical when it will never affect you. Hannity and Levin are so rich that nothing in their life would change one iota if some of the big investment banks failed or the auto industry went down the gurgler. I urge them to go door knocking in Detroit and other places in Michigan that manufacture cars and speak to those people who kept their jobs and see how they feel.

That is why there is no such thing as compassionate conservatism. They believe is pure capitalism, which has shown to be almost catastrophic as proven by the Great Depression and 2008.

Santorum, unlike Romney, does not propose things akin to ObamaCare.

Santorum, unlike Gingrich, does not use anti-capitalist rhetoric to atttack Romney.

Has Santorum ever said or done things I disagree with? Sure.

Do I cringe a bit at the notion of taking the dead baby home to provide the other children with a chance to say their goodbyes? Yep.

The monies for GM and Chrysler MIGHT have saved some jobs (perhaps temporarily) but the act also interfered with the capitalist SYSTEM'S way of dealing with non-competitive companies. And that in turn probably COST a LOT of job opportunities and maybe even the jobs which could have been provided by virtue of culling the heard.

So, bottom line: your criticisms of Santorum turn out to be kind of half baked or otherwise unpalatable mere partisan type opinion. Levin's comments are more in keeping with conservative ideology.
