Living in the country is rather fun, with the advantage that my farm is 5 miles from one of the best universities in Texas that was a teacher's college when I was in high school, but has grown in many other instructions including police sciences, athletics, history, and even engineering among other sciences. And the Sam Houston State University has a beautiful, forested campus since we are surrounded by the Sam Houston National Forest with the accompanying great Piney WOODS.

Woods surround my home with 1200 acres of pine, oak, maple, hickory, ash, black & white birch; but the best thing is that it is a state forest & therefore tax FREE.
