It seems they call for investigations at least once a week these days. Can someone please remind them that they are there to create and vote on laws, not go running around like Keystone Cops trying to bust each other?

I for one would not quietly sit back and allow them to do that, but my state has no Democratic senators, so I don't really have anyone to bitch at if the Dems try blocking an SC nominee for over two years.

One thing I can tell you for sure is that the Dems have no intentions of holding the vacancy for two years. If there is a Dem majority in the Senate, Trump will have to nominate a more centrist judge to fill the vacancy.

This is a reasonable assessment.

People like Dr. Love convicted and wanted execution of Kavanaugh from the moment Dr.Ford made the accusation.

I don't personally like Kavanaugh, but I dislike the evil Dem tactics even more.

There are so many reasons NOT to put Kavenaugh on the SC court that it's getting to be too many to mention.

1. Let's start with his performance on Thursday. Angry, partisan and flat out irrational are not qualities one wants in a Supreme Court Justice. There has been a lot of rumours since this started about Kavenaugh's beligerance and aggression and we saw that in spades on Thursday. He was utterly disrespectful to Democratic Senators. Especially the female Senators. And what's with blaming the Clintons? The crying, the yelling, the unhinged hysteria was exactly the kind of over the top denial that a guilty man would do trying to "sell" the idea of his innocence. Kind of like Trump's "witch hunt" rants.

A calm "judicial temperment" this is not and if anything, it supported the idea that this calm reasonable man is easily unhinged, makling untoward behaviour toward women that much more possible. Dr. Ford has also had her reputation permanently damaged and impugned. Dr. Ford has also had her life and that of her family threatened. Dr. Ford's life will never same after this hearing. And yet she was calm, reasonable, and very believable.

2. Then there's the lies. Kavenaugh has lied about any number of things throughout this confirmation hearing, starting with it was legal for him to drink in his senior year in high school. The legal drinking age in the state was 21 in 1982 so no he was not drinking legally. There have been other lies both large and small, but this issue isn't the size of the lies, it's that he lies about stuff at all. Honesty is part of the integrity that Kavenaugh says he has, but clearly if he habitually lies, then he has no integrity at all.

3. Then there's his very partisan and questionable work for the Starr Investigation, and his troubling occupation with Clinton's sexual history. Followed by his troubling work with the Bush Administration in promoting and rationalizing the use of torture. There's his public statements to the effect that no sitting President should be subject to indictment or prosecution until after he's left office.

4. And last but not least his appointment by a sitting President under investigation for indictable crimes, which investigation has sent a number of his associates and apppointees to jail, all but one of which has simply plead guilty and agreed to cooperate. The last guy was found guilty of a number of charges and chose to plead guilty to the rest and cooperate. That Trump is desperate to appoint people who are not only "loyal" but willing to protect him from the Mueller Investigation should make this appointment of a man who could help keep Trump out of court is to blantantly self serving that it should be denied.

5. Rowe v Wade.

His whole demeanor said he is NOT Supreme Court material.
