I do believe that he is making a mistake and saying that he Is going to appoint a black woman no matter what.
But I personally have no problem with him Appointing a black woman if she is the best candidate.

But I think that for at least some on the right, they would be just as upset if he had announced that he had reviewed all those who he believed to be the best candidates and has chose the best one and it turned out to be a black woman.

My dog has about a 5 mile radius. He'll chase anything that moves. He likes squirrels, he'll stand there and bark at the tree for a few seconds when they disappear. He's especially amused by the neighbor's cat, who chases lizards. He'll let the cat go after the lizard, then he'll go after the cat. He's a very good and loyal dog. Saved my life twice already. Once when the air conditioner shorted out and lit the socket on fire (the breakers didn't blow for some reason). We give him people food a lot of the time, he doesn't mooch cause he knows he'll get some if he's nice. Smart boy, dogs are very smart. If I tell him to go fetch the slippers he'll just sit there glaring at me, and if I tell him twice he'll start barking to signal his displeasure. However he'll do it on his own whenever he wants us to wake up.
