. That usually happens when someone is trying to outwit their opponent in an intellectual contest, but gets lost in the weeds while doing so. No matter how smart someone thinks they are, they will never know everything that takes place within an issue, but for some the idea of giving in (if only just a little) is highly unexceptable when trying to win, so when things begin to go crazy, the intellectual will fall into the very trap that was being laid by him or her. LOL
