There is some excellent music being produced in America today, it is not what you hear on the radio though.

And I was talking about the commercials as well. Watch MTV or Comedy Central and you'll know what I'm talking about.

I used to sit up all night and watch music videos on Friday night. When they changed over to reality programming MTV went to shit.

I think some of these newer commercials are kind of clever.

And, yeah. MTV went to Reality TV because that was more profitable.

So did TLC, the History Channel, and just about everything else on Basic Cable. because it's cheap to produce and gets ratings.

The problem lies not in the stars but within ourselves.

Hold onto your hat Joe: I agree with you (yep...a sign of the end times!).

BUT...some of the shit on channels such as TLC and History channel didn't appear due to demand. For example, Toddlers and Tiaras. I may be wrong, but there wasn't already a show like it before it came on the air, so there would've been no demand for it. For all we know, some overpaid exec thought it would be fun to create a program that revolves pagentry and (what i consider to be) child exploitation. And then, for some sick reason, some people liked it and kept it alive longer then it should have been.

My favorite was Big Brother, where CBS let the racism and references to pornography fly and just said, Tsk, tsk. But we'll still air it.
