Kerry to Visit Hiroshima

John Kerry is apparently set to visit the Peace Park in Hiroshima.

There is talk of trying to get obama there, but it seems unlikely.

It should have been done a long time ago.

In Kerry's case it was the case of a broken watch being right twice a day

US officials have been to Dresden, Hamburg, and Berlin before.

Of course, being Kerry, he will say exactly the wrong thing, but he will lance the boil none the less.

I think Hiroshima was the right decision, The Japanese were bat shit and Hiroshima was a legit military target. I also think building the bomb in the first place was a foolish decision. 1/4 of the US economy was wasted on it.

President Carter visited the park over three decades ago after he had left office. Ambassador Baker visited it also, that was in 2004.
