Keeping Trump off the ballot disenfranchises NO ONE

If the supreme court comes to any conclusion saying Trump didn't administer a insurrection , then they will have to go , Either over ridden with more justices to stop them having control my majority or thrown out of office . Either way is fine but they will have to go , Them being part of an overthrow of this democracy and government to force in a piece of shit for a dictator is cause to get rid of them any way possible.
Stop watching the fear porn, there was never any attempt to, "overthrow," the government.

In order to do that, all the levers of power would need to be controlled, by whomever made such an attempt, that would include the military. . . No such attempt was ever made overthrow the military, the courts, the press or the economy. NO threat of martial law, was ever at hand.

You have lost touch with reality.

I recommend turning off the propaganda.

oh he's gonna be on the ballots in all states .. you sound a little nervous ..
Actually, YOU sound a little nervous. And he may well be on all ballots. I have very, very little faith in the integrity of the current SCOTUS. I am only making the argument here that the Constitution's restriction on insurrectionists who violated an oath to the US Constitution (like Trump) is no more disenfranchising than the Constitution's other restrictions on who can hold the office of the presidency. No one has yet to address that point. Instead I have had to respond to lies, misstatements and personal attacks. What a surprise.

Judge Denies Effort to Remove Trump From the Ballot in Washington State

Voters had sought to disqualify the former president under the 14th Amendment, following the lead of Colorado and Maine.
". . . Formal challenges to Mr. Trump’s candidacy have been filed in at least 35 states, according to a New York Times review of court records and other documents. So far, he has been disqualified in only two states: Colorado, by an appeals court ruling, and Maine, by the secretary of state.

The U.S. Supreme Court is scheduled to hear oral arguments in Mr. Trump’s appeal of the Colorado decision on Feb. 8. The case could determine his eligibility for the ballot nationally.. . "

<snip>

". . .But Mr. Hobbs has said that court rulings could change his decision. A lawyer representing his office asked Judge Wilson on Thursday for a prompt ruling on the challenge to Mr. Trump’s eligibility, because ballots would be going out later this month to voters in the military and overseas.

A lawyer representing the state Republican Party argued that the case brought by voters was flawed for technical reasons, and also because federal courts had not convicted Mr. Trump of any criminal conduct that would disqualify him. . . . "

How the Supreme Court May Rule on Trump’s Presidential Run
The legal issues are novel and tangled, experts said, and the justices may be wary of knocking a leading presidential candidate off the ballot.

". . . They will be reluctant to wrest from voters the power to assess Mr. Trump’s conduct, particularly given the certain backlash that would bring. Yet they will also be wary of giving Mr. Trump the electoral boost of an unqualified victory in the nation’s highest court.

Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. will doubtless seek consensus or, at least, try to avoid a partisan split of the six Republican appointees against the three Democratic ones.

He may want to explore the many paths the court could take to keep Mr. Trump on state ballots without addressing whether he had engaged in insurrection or even assuming that he had.

Among them: The justices could rule that congressional action is needed before courts can intervene, that the constitutional provision at issue does not apply to the presidency or that Mr. Trump’s statements were protected by the First Amendment.

“I expect the court to take advantage of one of the many available routes to avoid holding that Trump is an insurrectionist who therefore can’t be president again,” said Nicholas Stephanopoulos, a law professor at Harvard.

Such an outcome would certainly be a stinging loss for Mr. Trump’s opponents, who say the case against him is airtight. But the Supreme Court would be attracted to what it would present as a modest ruling that allows Mr. Trump to remain on the ballot.

“This is a fraught political issue,” said Derek Muller, a law professor at the University of Notre Dame. “I think there will be an effort for the court to coalesce around a consensus position for a narrow, unanimous opinion. That probably means coalescing around a position where Trump stays on the ballot.”

Media Warn If Trump’s Re-Elected Every Bad Thing They Can Possibly Imagine Will Happen

I saw all this stuff posted and thought there'd be some real meat and potatoes to get into. But there wasn't.

Our choices for the presidency are not universal. There are millions of Americans, billions of people, for whom the US Constitution will not allow anyone to vote. We cannot vote for anyone under 35. We cannot vote for anyone who is not a naturalized citizen. We cannot vote for anyone that hasn't been a US resident for at least 14 years. And we cannot vote for anyone who has ever taken an oath to support the US Constitution and then been involved in an insurrection against the US government. Trump keeps screaming that finding him ineligible for office would disenfranchise all his supporters. But no one would be any more disenfranchised by that restriction than they are by the others. The disenfranchised are those who cast valid votes which don't get counted or those who are not allowed to vote at all. Trump did his damnedest after the 2020 election to disenfranchise millions of Biden voters so the claim that he's concerned about anyone's vote rings like a massive bell of dried horseshit.
I am far from the first person to point out Trump frequently accuses his opponents of exactly what he is doing or did. This is just another example. "Trump did his damnedest after the 2020 election to disenfranchise millions of Biden voters."

LIAR. The USSC will clarify shortly. Congress would need to enact the insurrection Article. Not happening.
The facts, as they appear at this moment, tell us that Trump took an oath to support the US Constitution and then attempted an insurrection to overthrow the 2020 presidential election and violently prevent the counting of EC votes in an attempt to remain in power. The US Constitution, Amendment 14, Section 3 specifically says that such an individual is not allowed to hold any elected US government office. Where do you believe I have lied?

And there is no such thing as "The insurrection Article". There is an Insurrection Act which is put into effect by the president in order to use the military to stop an insurrection. So, you don't have the faintest fucking clue what you're talking about.

removing trump is doing what he has been accused of.....interfering in an election.....
Classic Trumpian projection. Do you deny that Amendment 14 Section 3 prohibits insurrectionists who've previously taken an oath to uphold the Constitution are banned from ever again holding US office?

Trump's victory in Iowa was historic, no Republican ever won by that margin. Trump's presidency was historic, most of America wishes we had Trump's presidency back vs this clown Biden. Hey there's always Canada you could relocate up there.
Why did almost half the state's republican primary voters, vote AGAINST him? Why have such a large number in an extremely conservative state declared themselves to be "Never-Trumpers"?

Your premise is wrong -

He wanted to make sure that all legal votes were counted and that statically zero illegal votes were counted.

I know that you are aware that every illegal vote counted, helps to disenfranchise legal votes.

We have never previously had a federal election with so much opportunity for fraudulent ballots to be cast.
Every patriotic citizen should want what President Trump wanted, yes?

Democrats can amend the Constitution to keep Trump off the ballot, the founders gave them that option. I wonder if Dems can muster the votes? :auiqs.jpg:
/---/ It's a shame they no longer teach civics in school. We end up with uninformed dopes saying and believing stupid stuff like you.

Method 1: Congress Proposes an Amendment
To be approved, the amending resolution must be passed by a two-thirds supermajority vote in both the House and the Senate.

States Ratify the Amendment
If approved by Congress, the proposed amendment is sent to the governors of all 50 states for their approval, called “ratification.” Congress will have specified one of two ways by which the states should consider ratification:

The governor submits the amendment to the state legislature for its consideration; or
The governor convenes a state ratifying convention.
If the amendment is ratified by three-fourths (currently 38) of the state legislatures or ratifying conventions, it becomes part of the Constitution.
