Kansas moves to implement $25 ATM withdrawal limit for welfare recipients

So Mac the not spending of food stamps in a grocery store but instead obtaining the cash value to spend on products that would not be covered by food stamps if rung up properly in a grocery store.

Yet you claim this is political and does not pass the smell test.

Yet the situation that creates the need for these types of laws do.

I think your smeller is broke.

I mean you condone that nasty smelling shit, but have issues when trying to put sanity back into the situation.

So all this cash, what do you folks need to buy that the food stamp card can not be directly charged??

These people have been attacking Brownback ever since he took office. even THE NYslimes has their nose out of joint over him. he's duly elected and what they do in their state is up to people living there......
He's DULY elected by the majority of people: isn't that what they wailed at us when that thug Democrat Obama was elected. and now he's hated by the Majority of people. so because of that I think he should RESIGN

So I guess a check of your past posts won't show you criticizing any state level politicians that aren't from your home state?

Are you sure about that? Do you wish to claim so, before I check?

this will be YOU in the blue states probably sooner than later. Under Obama and then Hillary and the people like the OP who supports them.....this will be US. Video and pictures at the site

No, this isn’t Detroit–

Food line for powdered milk in Venezuela–

Whether it’s the Soviet dynasty, Castro’s island paradise, Democratic controlled Detroit, or Venezuela… the results are the same.

Pain, poverty, hunger and suffering.

You can't draw cash off a food stamp benefit.

I have a misleading question:
Welfare is paid out of the government's treasury, isn't it?
The banks charge a fee of 5%.
Isn't that like the banks charging the government a 5% fee for hosting welfare benefits?
It looks like being unfair a little bit.
Banks will have their profit in any conditions.

why should the banks foot the cost

Do the banks charge per transaction? Why should any person have to make 4 transactions to withdraw $100?

What is the POINT?

Kansas has found the ultimate way to punish the poor

A dollar bill is a special kind of thing. You can keep it as long as you like. You can pay for things with it. No one will ever charge you a fee. No one will ask any questions about your credit history. And other people won't try to tell you that they know how to spend that dollar better than you do.

For these reasons, cash is one of the most valuable resources a poor person in the United States can possess. Yet legislators in Kansas, not trusting the poor to use their money wisely, have voted to limit how much cash that welfare beneficiaries can receive, effectively reducing their overall benefits, as well.

The legislature placed a daily cap of $25 on cash withdrawals beginning July 1, which will force beneficiaries to make more frequent trips to the ATM to withdraw money from the debit cards used to pay public assistance benefits.

Since there's a fee for every withdrawal, the limit means that some families will get substantially less money.

Once again why would a person need to get cash 4 times??

What is the low life scum buying that is not intended to be purchased with these funds??

Use the card correctly, no additional charges,

What fucking part of that is not sinking in your thick fucking black skull??

My guess is that this law is meant to fire up the absolutists who are trained to scream at the top of their lungs about all the regular issues, welfare being among them.

Yeah, this will get those evil welfare recipients who are destroying my freedom, you betcha.

Welfare is a response to an underlying problem. I'm more interested in dealing with the underlying problem than in sounding like a radio talk show host.

why do they have to in this day and age

they like anyone else can pay by card directly

No ATM allows you to withdraw $25
You have to take out $20

Add a $4 ATM fee and you end up with $16

All the issues going on and people are worried about ATM withdrawals?
oh well, it's their STATE they can do what they want. I guess all you on welfare won't be moving there eh.
Guess who pays the price to drag red states out of the holes they dig themselves?

Red states like California?

Or Illinois? Actually if Illinois could get rid of Shitcago they'd be OK

More like, we tried to be reasonable with you little black folks, but you squander your food money on drugs and other bad things.

We should be addressing the underlying problem, a bunch of worthless tit sucking entitlers who don't know what work is.

Instead we have to rein in blacks who would squander their money on garbage other than food.
