Welfare recipients should be banned from buying jet airplanes and super-cars as well. What the hell are people thinking? Is this the best they can do with their time?
If you don't work properly you must not relax with ease.

Wait..isn't Kansas landlocked?
There's that lightnin' fast wit!

I support this law but it's very hard for me to believe a welfare recipients can afford any kind of luxury or recreation. Maybe a very low percentage of abusers?

Why support this? Just politicians wasting time. I agree people on welfare shouldn't be doing those things, but I don't agree with big government laws about it.

I support not allowing many of the luxuries on that list, but I have always been divided on the food restrictions issue. A kid shouldn't be restricted eating potato chips every now and again because their parents are poor. There was a period where my mother was on food stamps and I got to eat steak every once in a while. It was always the cheapest steak you could get, but it was steak.

I dunno. I could maybe see letting them have the cheaper cuts of steak. But only from discount bin, after upstanding taxpayers have had their pick.

Just another way to bash the poor over a non-issue, while corporate welfare wastes billions more. A nice distraction from the Tea Party politics that are ruining the state, which has much bigger problems to address.Pathetic.

Hey, if they can stop one poor person from getting something they disapprove of, it will be worth the hundreds of thousands of dollars to implement this law and the millions to oversee it.

As usual, all the RWs care about is bigger and more intrusive laws. They don't really care that this is a law in search of a crime and that it punishes the least among us while protecting the 1%.

I mean, after all, those people have no right or reason to won such luxuries as a refrigerator or a cell phone.

And only WAY after the "sell by " date and preferably crawling with maggots.

Most food stamp recipients are the elderly, children, disabled vets, handicapped - IOW, people who have no need or right to decent nutrition.

Let 'em eat cake.

That they dug out of the dumpster.

There is no cost to the government to implement this law. Enforcement can be done at the grocery store by not allowing the cash register ring up certain products.

You think this is what politicians should be spending time on? Do you actually think this is small government?
. Like you hate BIG government? If you insist that the government should be giving out welfare payments, then I consider it Is government saving me money.

How does it save you money? Its government trying to influence behavior. Last I checked that is big government. Amazing republicans can't even recognize that now.

I don't agree. I think the radical RWs do know that they are in favor of BIG GOVERNMENT. They just believe intrusive laws are a good thing - as long as it doesn't apply to them.

Exclude alcohol, weed, and cigarettes next, so that they run a chance of finding better jobs.

Everyone can benefit from looking in the mirror occasionally.

Are you a conservative and actually think this law is ok? When did conservatives become so big government?
