Withdrawing troops is now the sanitized version of defeat.
You'd think the government would have learnt after Vietnam and Iraq.

The main purpose of going into Afghanistan was to stop Osama Bin Laden and Al-qaeda. A year in we had Osama Bin Laden trapped at Tora Bora. We pulled the majority of troops out of Tora Bora in preperation for Iraq.
We should have put a full court press on Tora Bora and taken out Osama Bin Laden, got the hell out of Afghanistan and not got into Iraq.
America has to be #1 mentality inspires the thinking we can beat every country militarily and our needs are more important than any other people's of the world.
We are a great nation but we needt be more humble.
