Leaking information to get information out is one thing and there can be an argument made. But Assange is now intentionally interfering with a US presidential election. They could have released whatever information they have months ago but they have purposefully held it to try to change the outcome of a US election. This isn't 'doing good' and acting as a 'watchdog', it is tampering with the integrity of the elections of the foremost democracy on Earth. Putin is doing the same thing.

There is no hacked evidence of anything actually happening let alone felonies.
The difference between Watergate and this is that Watergate was a real scandal in which a sitting president was complicit. It's funny that you bring up Watergate as that was a physical break in of the DNC offices and the WL release deals with a cyber attack on the DNC. Except in this case your outrage is misplaced with the actual victims rather than the perpetrators. You are right to be concerned but your concerns are misguided and miss the real threat.
