The foreign policy that John McCain now advocates is reckless and promiscuously interventionist. If he were a university student majoring in international relations or security studies, he would deserve a resounding F for his analysis of the crucial issues that the United States has confronted over the past 14 or 15 years. After a promising start, his performance has steadily deteriorated. The last thing that America needs is an even more aggressive and incompetent steward of foreign policy than George W. Bush has been.

We can't afford to elect a senile president with an unqualified vice president. We need a president who is smart and on top of his game. Colin Powell's endorsement of Obama shows that he is ready to lead. Go Obama!

There could be advantages to an Obama Presidency, but I am deeply concerned that he might have the full support of a Democratically-controlled Congress with a super-majority. History has proven that is bad for the country.

McCain's foreign policy is terrible. We're in the middle of losing our status in Iraq and the commanders on the ground give us only a 60% chance of a new deal being signed. If we lose out on this, we're going to have to get our asses out of Iraq rather quickly.

The idea, the perception of meeting with terrorists is something our own General Petreaus has suggested and actually done. It is one of the biggest reasons Iraq is so much more safe. It's the reason why North Korea is dismanlting their nuclear power plants.

And Palin... don't get me started on her.

When was the last time we had a fully Democratic Congress with a Democratic President? Carter doesn't count - he was a southern conservative.

Boy you got THAT, DavidS.

Nobody screwed Carter more than the Massachusetts Democratic mafia.

The first two years of Clinton's first term in office. Look what happened then and compare that with what happened after the Republicans took over Congress in 1995.
