A host or a person to weak to stand up to enemies, or a person just willing to try and appease tyrants or enemies, is not inherently a peacemaker.. they are not promoting long term peace.. rather they are selling out into something that will only bring out aggression in the future... for when you appease evil or try and pay them off, they come back for more payout by giving more aggression

Labeling someone via their stances.. .AKA calling someone a leftist, supporter of this or that, or RWer, a capitalist, a socialist, etc... fine... hell.. calling someone you think is a jerk or an asshole, that you think is a jerk or an asshole is fine... calling out someone with racist tendencies or bigoted attitudes a racist or a bigot is fine.... but racial remarks like that would not come out of my mouth or keyboard.. You're not referring to Carter in this post. We have to start with an immediate bilateral cease fire, and then get the two sides back into negotiation.

Look at what worked in Northern Ireland. The Catholics got fed up with the IRA and they had an alternative group arise that they had faith in.

That hasn't happened yet in Palestine. It's not going to happen with an active war going on.

This isn't about appeasing evil. It's about allowing the people to choose other leadership which can't happen when they're starving to death and in the middle of being bombed by Israel.

Cease fire must happen now.

In spite of our differences on Israel, I believe that you would not use such a remark.

Carter created a lasting peace between Eqypt and Israel, something of insurmoutable value to the Jews and the whole region. Just an amazing accomplishment

And that is his only accomplishment. Everything else was a disaster. And he's continued his rein of disaster by supporting idiotic causes except for Habitat for Humanity.

I am referring to Carter... his "efforts" were overhyped to say the least... Israel and Egypt made the peace... Carter was a host.. and nothing would have happened if Egypt did not believe that they would have the living snot kicked out of them yet again

You think Israel does not want a cease fire? You think Israel does not want basic tranquility? Who do you think continually starts the attacks? Keeps them up continually until a retaliation is all but assured?

It is because these terrorist groups such as Hamas do not truly want a coexisting peace with the sovereign nation of Israel that rightfully controls the land... they want Israel to give and give until there is nothing more to give and they have everything... and Hamas will continue to assert control thru their fear, hate mongering, and extremist attitudes... Hamas must be eliminated as a first step, or these attacks will continue... as long as they have resources, control, any sort of power, and useful hate filled propaganda, they will continue towards their goal of a non-existent Israel
