It is not unusual at all for men with what is considered to be common knowledge to reach conclusions that trump the higher learning of those so empowered and politically aligned with the accepted agenda. State propagated science is described as Lysenkoism and that in one word becomes an accurate description, more and more so, as we move forward not only with the science of Anthropogenic GW but also with the fascist politics of the same.

A true scientist may have strong opinions but is smart enough to realize that any one of his dearly held tenets, precepts or accepted facts can vanish from underneath him in a flash as they often do when openly in pursuit of the truth and not a foregone conclusion.

This argument is so often falsely framed as science versus ignorance by those who wish to eliminate all dissent and make the dissenters appear to be a large group of uneducated morons. They spend more of their time attacking credentials ( as if those who are pro AGW do not have exactly the same problem in their own ranks ) and trying like hell to convince themselves that there can be no other conclusion save the one they have chosen to adopt.

Not only is it not arrogant to challenge the consensus it is our right and our duty. Given that Academia has been politically co opted.....once again I give you the Stalin/Lysenko connection as a previous example of science run amok with Experts who must never be questioned.......I would say that it is more than our duty it is also the course of wisdom and caution to question their so called infallible conclusions.

When one wants to sell something to somebody so badly that one is not willing to accept to any other option but the final sale does that inspire confidence in the honesty and the integrity of the sales pitch?

In the case of AGW advocates we have been told at every turn that all other options have been eliminated...that all previous measurements cannot be questioned.....that all conclusions have been vetted with absolute certainty....and that only ignorant people who stand behind phony PHD's could possibly disagree. Welcome back to Dr. Bensons three ring snake oil sales....the very same tactics that have been employed by con men for a long, long time. Coincidence? I think not.

That one position alone is enough to make anyone using critical thought begin to doubt the process. Add to that the obvious presence of Green energy Ponzi schemes who profit wildly from Crony Capitalist connections to the current left wing Crazy house in DC....and the Alarms really start to go off!

As we continue to find more and larger natural sources of co2 additions to our atmosphere that positively dwarf man made contributions we are beaten back with insult, told that we do not understand, and threatened with forced compliance unless we just shut up and go along. Only we will not shut up, we will not stop looking, we will not stop doubting......and this is the fuel that enrages the Lysenkoist AGW community. Predictable

Even the dependence on historical data is not totally infallible.....nothing changes until it does ...... and then when it does it becomes a part of the ahem...Unchanging Data . We have seen enough attempted dishonesty from the left on this agenda to suspect that it has more than just concern for the future of mankind at its heart and motivation. Political Correctness is rampant in climate science. The similarities to the racial discussions in the USA are extraordinary. Racism is a real effect that obviously has some impact on the disparate outcomes of blacks but is also obviously insufficient to explain all the differences. CO2 obviously has some impact on the climate but is also obviously insufficient to explain the changes. Anyone who points out anything but racism for the black plight is called a racist and their ideas are ignored. Anyone who points out other causes for warming are called deniers and their ideas are ignored.

Racism and CO2 are real. But they are not the only effects happening. Ostracizing those who point out the other factors only holds back science. Contorting evidence to the politically correct view only holds back science.
