It’s Interesting How Obama Says Things That Are So Quickly Proven False

Obama is the biggest failure this country has seen, and I include Warren Harding in that. Not only does he get by and mere intention, rather than results, but now he has blown past intention and gone straight to wishful thinking.
The administration is not encouraging exploration. The very opposite.

Hell! the only President to make fewer correct decisions was William Henry Harrison he only served 32 days, half of which he spent in bed dying of pneumonia.

SPIN: “Oil production last year rose to its highest level since 2003.” (Heather Zichal, “Expanding Safe and Responsible Energy Production,” The White House Blog, 3/8/11)

RINSE:

* The Obama Administration’s actions have caused domestic energy production to decrease.
* In 2007, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) projected total 2010 U.S. oil production on federal lands to be 850 million barrels. Today’s actual production on federal lands is 714 million barrels, a 16 percent decline from what was projected. If it wasn’t for the Obama Administration, the U.S. would be producing more energy.
* This is why FUTURE projections show a decline in U.S. production and an increase in imports. On March 8, 2011 the EIA published new projections that show a decline in total U.S. crude oil production of 110,000 barrels per day in 2011 and 130,000 barrels per day in 2012.
* Finally, the White House does not explain that the vast majority of increased production is occurring on private lands, not public. For example, North Dakota alone produced almost 120 million barrels of oil in 2010, compared to just over 20 million in 2003. The majority of North Dakota’s production is on private land. This begs the question, why are we not using our federal lands to create American jobs and produce American energy resources to lower prices?

SPIN: “U.S. oil and natural gas production has increased, while imports of foreign oil have decreased.” (White House Fact Sheet, “Fact Sheet: Expanding Safe And Responsible Oil And Gas Production,” Scribd, Accessed 3/14/11)

RINSE:

* Since 2008, U.S. foreign oil imports have decreased by 2 million barrels per day—at the same time, U.S. consumption has decreased by 2 million barrels per day.
* Imports have decreased, not because of Obama Administration policies, but because demand decreased due to a floundering economy and high unemployment.
I love it, ACTUAL oil production has increased, but because the ACTUAL production did not meet GOP PROJECTIONS then by CON$ervative "logic" ACTUAL production decreased. :cuckoo::cuckoo::cuckoo:

And the question that is begged by the fact that the increase in oil production did not come from the oil monopoly developing the public lands they leased, as I pointed out earlier in this thread, but from independent companies developing private land, is "why lease more public land to the oil monopoly?????" They will only continue their policy of capping the oil wells they find and keeping the new oil off the market and away from the independents. Not only should the government refuse to lease new lands to the oil monopoly, as their shill the American Petroleum Institute has lobbied for, they should take away the unused leased public lands from the oil monopoly and re-lease them to the independents.

And contrary to the GOP claim that imports are down since 2008 because the economy is down since 2008, the economy has GROWN since 2008 and yet imports are DOWN.

The phony GOP chart shows oil imports up for 2010 even though oil imports have been down. The GOP are pathological liars.

Hey dumbass.....the CHARTS are from here!: ***NEW TODAY*** EIA Short Term Energy Outlook: Gulf of Mexico Production Down, U.S. Oil Imports Up - House Committee on Natural Resources
Hey, dumbslit, can't you read?

LOL....losing it a bit huh?

BIG LETTERS again....LOL!

Yeah, a house committee is made up of equal amounts of Democrats and Republicans dipshit.

So as the "Obama can do no wrong" supporters continue to atack this one situation cited by the author of the thread...

May I ask..

Did he promise to close GITMO?

DId he say that there were no earmarks in the healthcare plan?

DId he say it was rhetoric that they double counted the 500 M medicare?

Did he say everyone will be able to keep their doctor if they wish?

The issue is his honesty...and he has proimised a lot since he took the oath....and much of what he promised was not true.

Sadly...he knows people like you will ignore his lies.....and he is correct.

Good question.

Dana Perino pointed out the administration’s total disregard for the truth today on FOX News Sunday,

“It is interesting to me how the administration allows President Obama to say things that are so quickly proven false… The facts are standing in the way of their rhetoric.”
Or, in other words, Obama is a proven liar and doesn’t seem to care .....
In 2010 News Corporation gave $1M to the Republican Governors Association and $1M to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which was largely working to elect Republicans that year. This drew condemnations from Democrats and non-partisan watchdog groups, who claimed that it represented a conflict of interest for the owner of a major publishing empire to contribute directly to political campaigns in this way. A spokesman for the Wall Street Journal would not comment.

Murdoch also served on the board of directors of the libertarian Cato Institute.

Fox News hasn't placed itself in a position to lecture anybody about the truth!

By his own admission his media empire is nothing more than a venue to promote the political views of its owner - Rupert Murdoch.

Obama PROMISED transparency surrounding negotiations leading to the ObamaCare bill.

Not only was CSPAN calling him out on it, but NOW they are stonewalling Congress' demands to release the records of their closed door meetings!

typical...
You look to find fault in posters on here more than you care to look into the validity of what your President says.
A poster on here will not change your life. A wrong move by the president can.

Unless....of course....you prefer to not be in control of your future.

So please.... continue trying to find fault in those that disagree with you as opposed to finding fault in those that make decisions for you.

So 21 Democrats and Bill Clinton agree that Obama is a liar. :clap2:

Obama tells GOP: Nice try on health care records - Washington Times
WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama once promised that negotiations over his health care overhaul would be carried out openly, in front of TV cameras and microphones. Tell that to the White House now.

Republican congressional investigators got the brush-off this past week after pressing for details of meetings between White House officials and interest groups, including drug companies and hospitals that provided critical backing for Obama’s health insurance expansion.

Complying with the records request from the House Energy and Commerce Committee “would constitute a vast and expensive undertaking” and could “implicate longstanding executive branch confidentiality interests,” White House lawyer Robert Bauer wrote the committee. Translation: Nice try.

The Moonbats don't seem to care when a Democrat lies to them.

OBAMA: “Even if we tap every single resource available to us, we can't escape the fact we only control 2% of the world's oil but we consume over a quarter of the world's oil.”

THE TRUTH

* According to a recently released Congressional Research Service (CRS) report, the United States combined recoverable oil, natural gas, and coal resources is the largest in the World – outranking Saudi Arabia, China and Iran.
* The President is ignoring the majority of America’s energy resources. The 2% figure is a narrow estimate based on the United State’s proven oil reserves – currently measured at 19.1 billion barrels of oil. However, according to the CRS the U.S. actually has 145.5 billion barrels of recoverable oil.
* Total recoverable energy reserves for the United States (combing oil, natural gas and coal) is 1.3 trillion barrels of oil equivalent – the largest in the world.
* This number does not even take into account the large oil shale reserves in the United States. The Department of Energy estimates 1.38 trillion barrels of shale oil are recoverable from approximately 7.8 million acres of federal land. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) estimates that our oil shale reserves could be greater than 1.5 trillion barrels of oil. This is five times larger than Saudi Arabia’s proven reserves.
