It's cold and snowy in January!

You tards do know that we're in La Nina weather patterns right now, right? Are you guys THAT anti-science.

Winter 2010/2011 Outlook: La Nina

And the world is warming. There are millions upon millions of pages of collected data out there. Here's a recent one from NASA

Thank you. Another very strong indication of how fast things are moving.

Researchers from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory have studied 167 large lakes around the globe using thermal infrared satellite imagery and have found that global lake temperatures increased more than one degree Celsius on average over the last 25 years due to a warming climate.

O no. Not the "science is just another religion" thingie again.

Please.

LOL.

No, you misinterpret. A theory that is unfalsifiable is a religion. When you predict that no matter what you see is evidence of your theory how do you prove that theory wrong? Look up the Scientific Method and you will see that all theories must have experiments that are repeatable by anyone to be "proved". When there is no way to "prove" the theory wrong you have left science behind and entered into the realm of a belief system.

Got it?

Damned easy to falsify the Global Warming Theory. All you need is a five year period with all factors staying the same that the overall anamoly is cooler, and the ice packs and glaciers gain ice. So when is that going to happen, genius?

Wellll now that you mention it, the ice pack is increasing in the Arctic for the third year in a row. Swiss glaciers are coming back and so are a whole bunch of Himalayan glaciers, not to mention the glaciers advancing in New Zealand, the Antarctic is STILL two orders of magnitude abover normal and it is the height of summer down there.....so you're correct, GW is being disproven even as we watch.

Yes, we know that. We also know that the world has been warming for the last 11,000 years or didn't you get the memo? We also know that the temperatures have been much higher in mans history. The Roman and the Medieval Warming Periods saw temperatures at least five degrees warmer then the current temps. Wherever evidence for them has been looked for it has been found, in both the Northern and Southern hemisphere's, which olfraud never wants to admit.

We are questioning the role that man has in the warming. Mann went to great pains to erase the MWP and the Little Ice Age to get his hockey stick graph. GISS has been going back over 50 years to "adjust" the temperatures form the past (universally lower to make the current temperatures higher) in an effort to convince the people that we are warming at an unprecedented rate. This is fraud.

Welcome to the Swiss Glacier Monitoring Network

Now look at the map on this site. Three glaciers advancing, one stationary, and all the rest in Switzerland retreating. Once again you lie obviously.

VAW / SCNAT Glacier Monitoring Network

The changes of the glaciers in the Swiss Alps are measured every year. You will find here recent results, graphics and additional information.

Facts and Figures of individual glaciers can be selected by interactive maps or lists

Global glacier retreat

The vast moraine wall is evidence of the retreat of the Mueller glacier, which is covered in rubble. In the distance a further lake and moraine wall show where the glacier has retreated
In New Zealand the mountain glaciers have been in a general recession since 1890, with an acceleration of this recession after 1920. Most of the glaciers have been reduced in size and the accumulation zone had a corresponding rise to higher elevations as the 20th century progressed. During the period of 1971 to 1975, Ivory Glacier was reduced 30 m at the glacial terminus and the loss of ice during the period was 13.9 x 106 m3 the retreat has been ongoing, the NIWA has noted a retreat of 180 m per year on average since the 1990’s. The proglacial lake at the terminus continues to expand as the glacier retreats upvalley. The lake is deep and the valley has little gradient, thus the retreat will continue. Imagery of Tasman Glacier indicates the future it faces. There was no lake in 1973 and now it is more than 7 km long.

All 48 glaciers in the Southern Alps have grown during the past year.
The growth is at the head of the glaciers, high in the mountains, where they
gained more ice than they lost. Noticeable growth should be seen at the
foot of the Fox and Franz Josef glaciers within two to three years.(27 May 2003)

Argentina's Perito Moreno Glacier, the largest glacier in Patagonia,
is advancing at the rate of 7 feet per day. The 250 km² ice formation,
30 km long, is one of 48 glaciers fed by the Southern Patagonian Ice
Field. This ice field, located in the Andes system shared with Chile,
is the world's third largest reserve of fresh water.

Greenland's glaciers losing ice at faster rate - Technology & science - Science - msnbc.com

ST. LOUIS — Satellite observations indicate that Greenland's glaciers have been dumping ice into the Atlantic Ocean at a rate that's doubled over the past five years, researchers reported here on Thursday. The findings add yet another factor to the long-running debate over the effect of climate change on the world's ice sheets and sea levels.

"The evolution of the ice sheet, in the context of climate warming, is more rapid than has been predicted by models," one of the researchers, Eric Rignot of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, told MSNBC.com. As a result, Greenland's ice sheet — second only to Antarctica's ice sheet, with almost as much area as Mexico — could contribute more than expected to rising sea levels in a warming world, he said.

Other climate experts said the study, which was revealed in St. Louis at the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and published in Friday's issue of the journal Science, added an important piece to the climate puzzle.

It seems to me, there is a decided lack of compassion for those of us caught in this freak snowstorm in Cleveland.

Ewww Cleveland? You guys have like 30 days of bad weather a month... ;)

I do feel your pain. I did some time myself from 2000-02. Pretty sure I forgot sometimes it's not gray outside.
