It was an insurrection. The insurrectionists said so.

Sorry republicans, it was an insurrection, and the people planning it knew it.

“We’re gonna be posted outside DC, awaiting the president’s orders. … We want him to declare an insurrection,”

Of course it does...

According to prosecutors, members of the group attended a 9 November meeting during which the Oath Keepers’ founder, Stewart Rhodes, referred to in government documents as Person One, described the attack as an insurrection.

Since this was BEFORE the events of the day months later actually unfolded, a description of one persons personal desire does not mean it was the strategy accepted by anyone else.

If it wasn’t an insurrection, it was certainly a rightwing terrorist attack on America’s democracy.
republicans are leftwing not right wing,,

and youre still a dumbass liar,,

Rightwing and leftwing are subjective and arbitrary terms, but republicans have been defined are rightwing for the last century, and democrats leftwing.
Right wing means strong on capitalism, fiscal conservatism, law&Order, strong on defense, etc.
Left wing means socialism, borrowing for improvements to infrastructure and social programs, more civil liberties, peace over war, etc.
there was a time when they were right wing,, but any sane person can see their move to the left over the century and now sit where the dems were 20 yrs ago,,,

and your definitions are wrong as to how the founders created the constitution and political system we work under,,

rightwing is less government power and more people power,,
leftwing is more government power and less people power,,

Sorry republicans, it was an insurrection, and the people planning it knew it.

“We’re gonna be posted outside DC, awaiting the president’s orders. … We want him to declare an insurrection,”

How does your link prove it was an insurrection? All it shows at four people who belong to this group called "oath keepers" showed up at the capital and took the tour when the police invited them in.

Sorry republicans, it was an insurrection, and the people planning it knew it.

“We’re gonna be posted outside DC, awaiting the president’s orders. … We want him to declare an insurrection,”

That is not yet established fact, but just a claim by the prosecution.

{...
The new indictment is part of a larger criminal conspiracy case that now includes 19 members of the far-right group. Members previously charged in the government’s case have pleaded not guilty.
According to prosecutors, members of the group attended a 9 November meeting during which the Oath Keeper’s founder Stewart Rhodes, referred to in government documents as Person One, described the attack as an insurrection.

“We’re gonna be posted outside DC, awaiting the president’s orders. … We want him to declare an insurrection,” according to documents.
Prosecutors say the Oath Keepers is a loose federation of militia groups that targets law enforcement and military members for recruitment and promotes a totalitarian vision of the government that its members believes represents a threat to American citizens.
Rhodes, who has not been charged, has claimed that the government is trying to build the action of a few members into an alleged organizational conspiracy. “I may go to jail soon, not for anything I actually did, but for made-up crimes,” Rhodes told Texas Republicans in March, according to the Washington Post.

The new indictment alleges that Rhodes began developing plans to keep Donald Trump in office by force six days after the presidential vote. During an online meeting on 9 November, prosecutors claim, he told some of the Oath Keepers now under indictment:
We want [Trump] to declare an insurrection, and to call us up as the militia,” Rhodes allegedly stated.
...}

Whether or not the Oath Keepers wanted Trump to declare an insurrection, it is pretty clear he did not, so then any plans by Oath Keepers to implement an insurrection were not put into action.
For example, no guns were taken into the capital building, and the only shooting was by the police of an unarmed women who was only entering a lobby, not any place significant or secure.
That's because the Oath Keepers' plans were foiled since Antifa wasn't there for them to fight as planned.

Uh, yeah it does. I quoted it.

Derp.

Wrong.
Quoting a journalist who makes undocumented claims about what participants said to each other months before, is not proof of anything.
Wanting Trump to declare an insurrection does not mean he did.
By "undocumented claim," you mean spelled out in the indictments.

thats a third partys statement,, and I think you are reading it backwards,,
they wanted trump to declare what the dems did as an insurrection, not that what they were doing as one,,,
So? You idiotically claimed, "the article doesnt support the claim in the title."

It does. Now you're whining about who put that in the article.

And no, they didn't want what dems did as an insurrection. They expected Antifa to be there and for a fight to breakout between Antifa and themselves. Some of the Oath Keepers were instructed to storm the Capitol "fully armed" if that were to happen. THAT'S what they wanted Trump to invoke the Insurrection Act over. An armed fight between both sides. It never happened because Antifa wasn't there.

There are 16 defendants in that indictment. And "Person One" is the founder and leader of the Oath Keepers.

One guy said it was an insurrection, out of 100,000.

Should we hold all Democrats responsible for what Ilhan Omar says?
