Israeli military vehicles 'breach Gaza border' | Maan News Agency

GAZA CITY (Ma’an) -- Several Israeli military vehicles breached the border with the Gaza Strip on Monday morning, but no confrontations were reported.

Locals told Ma'an the vehicles were scanning agricultural land east of Khan Younis, in south Gaza. Farmers immediately evacuated their fields, fearing troops would open fire, they said.

An Israeli military spokesman said the troops were conducting "routine activity" in the area.

Israel had barred Palestinians from coming within hundreds of meters of the border, but in a November ceasefire deal agreed to ease curbs on Gaza.

It's to point out the Israeli military carries out repeated incursions by breaching the border which they aren't supposed to as of the ceasefire agreement. No other country in the world would get away with breaching someone's sovereignty with Tanks and bulldozers. Hypocrisy at its best.

Israel has violated the recent ceasefire many times.

Israel's "routine activity" is to violate every ceasefire ever made.

No one was hurt and it's not about that. It's that this army breaches the border because they believe they have the authority to. But if Hamas breached Israel's border it would be considered and act of war. This happens almost daily and it happened today too.

First of all, your source is BOGUS. Second of all, why don't the Palestinians do something about it if it bothers them ?? Oh wait, because they can't hahaha !! Get used to it YOusef Muhamed, the border will be breached MANY MANY M=more times in the future, until your terrorist buddies learn to put down their weapons. Get it? Got it? GOOD !

Hardly. Anything the IDF does is due to a reason. No one enters Gaza simply because they wish. It's not like our soldiers wake up in the morning and say "Gee, it's really BORING here lately! late take a tank-round in Gaza!"

Seriously, that's just rediculous:doubt:

We know why, most likely they breach the border to cut down tress or any property and to keep the incursions going to widen the area of no go. Yes it is a problem, they tired it in Lebanon in 2010 and it led to a firefight with casualties.

Israeli forces shot youth in the back as he ran away, say Palestinians

A teenage boy was killed by Israeli soldiers on the separation barrier close to the West Bank village of Budrus yesterday, shot from behind as he was running away, according to Palestinian accounts.

Samir Awad, 17, was among a group of boys who had just completed an exam on the last day of school before a midterm break when they approached the barrier, reports said. The Israeli Defence Forces said the youths were "attempting to infiltrate into Israel", and its soldiers "responded immediately". It confirmed live fire was used.

According to villagers, Samir was grabbed by soldiers who were concealed in a trench. He broke free and was running away when a soldier or soldiers opened fire. He was hit by three or four bullets, in his head, torso and leg.

Ayed Morrar, a member of the village popular resistance committee, said: "They shot him in cold blood, they shot him in the back. He wasn't threatening them."

Breaching someone's border isn't an issue? Okay lets say Hamas crossed Israel's border and planted bombs right at the border line to prevent any Israeli tanks from conducting these incursions, I'm sure the Israeli military will just say NEXT!

Well, if Hamas would have planted a bomb anywhere, I'd say it has a slight difference then a tank that is only present and doesn't fire to kill.

So the comparison is misplaced.

What I meant was, that the way I see it, Israel has no intention of starting something major, or harming anyone in Gaza now. It is quiet in that area and it will be extremely foolish to ignite something when no one was hurt or killed. Besides, it will be very much stupid if anything happens these days. Nothing happens before elections! It's just stupid.
