Israel constructed 16,000 settlement units over the past 3 years

"Erekat, member of the Palestinian Liberation Organisation (PLO) Executive Committee, stated that the Israeli government "Continues to exercise the settlement policy on the occupied Palestinian territories."During a meeting with the UN Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People, Erekat said: "The total number of Israeli settlements built on occupied Palestinian land after Benjamin Netanyahu came into office from 2009 to 2012 has reached over 16,000 settlement units. On average, this is 11 new settlement units a day."He added that an increase of settler acts of violence against the Palestinians has been observed in the last few years, "At an alarming rate." He explained that the violent acts committed by settlers increased from 2009 to the end of 2012 by 315 per cent. Such acts include killing innocents and setting fire to trees, mosques, and churches, all of which are carried out under the protection of the Israeli army." http://www.middleeastmonitor.com/ne...-16000-settlement-units-over-the-past-3-years. Settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territories are unlawful under intl law. Yet, the US sends Israel 8 million dollars a day to maintain her illegal Occupation and unlawful settlement enterprise in Palestine. Sherri

"Despite Israel’s relative affluence American taxpayers foot the bill for $3 billion + per year, more than is given to the whole of Africa and Latin America, which amounts to $8.7 million per day; additional to the financial contribution is the extraordinary level of diplomatic support that privileges Israel above any other allied country, and extends to pushing policies that reflect Israeli priorities even when adverse to American national interests. This is the case with respect to Iran’s nuclear program. The most stabilizing move would be to propose a nuclear free zone for the entire Middle East, but the United States will not even mention such an option for fear of occasioning some kind of backlash orchestrated by an irate leadership in Tel Aviv." http://richardfalk.wordpress.com/ http://richardfalk.wordpress.com/2013/04/16/divestment-at-ucsb/

U.N. rights inquiry says Israel must remove settlers

GENEVA (Reuters) - "U.N. human rights investigators called on Israel on Thursday to halt settlement expansion and withdraw all half a million Jewish settlers from the occupied West Bank, saying that its practices could be subject to prosecution as possible war crimes.A three-member U.N. panel said private companies should stop working in the settlements if their work adversely affected the human rights of Palestinians, and urged member states to ensure companies respected human rights."Israel must cease settlement activities and provide adequate, prompt and effective remedy to the victims of violations of human rights," Christine Chanet, a French judge who led the U.N. inquiry, told a news conference. The settlements contravened the Fourth Geneva Convention forbidding the transfer of civilian populations into occupied territory and could amount to war crimes that fall under the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court (ICC), the United Nations report said."To transfer its own population into an occupied territory is prohibited because it is an obstacle to the exercise of the right to self-determination," Chanet said." its a good idea----Israel should immediately cede those parts of the
west bank it wishes to cede-----and leave them Based on the
decision to of MALDIVES to require all citizens to be MUSLIM--
-Israel could solve its problem with the arab muslim population
by enacting a similar law for whatever Israel--rendering all
muslims NON CITIZENS ---except for BAHAIS who, technically---
I believe---are considered muslims in some circles
