Israel attacks America - Will US policy change?

Should the US stop supporting Israel?

If that mindset were still operative then the Israelis would never have given back the Sinai.

No sale
Jews gave back the Sinai because the US gave them no choice in the matter. Much has changed since Ike occupied in the White House.
The US gave Israel no choice in the matter?

What particular arm-twisting did the US employ in this process, to bring about that outcome?

Given the widespread hateful Arab response to the Treaty, and given that the Treaty cost Sadat his life a couple of years later, somehow, I don't think it was the Israelis who had their arms twisted.

And...

The Israeli-Egyptian Peace Treaty was brokered and executed in 1979, under President Jimmah Abdul Carter, and the final stages of the Israeli concession of the Sinai occurred in 1982 during Reagan's first term.

Just in case you were confusing Jimmah Abdul Carter with Ike.

They were right. They should have given those countries their trash back

I was thinking 1956...
"The Suez Crisis, also named Tripartite Aggression,[14] was an invasion of Egypt in late 1956 by Israel, followed by Britain and France. The aims were to regain Western control of the Suez Canal and to remove Egyptian president Nasser from power.[15]

"After the fighting had started, the United States, the Soviet Union, and theUnited Nations got involved diplomatically, forcing Britain, France and Israel to withdraw."

Israel is not our housedog in the Middle East. If we realize it the better international policy will we perform in the world. This dog can bite. It's forage is too expensive. It's behavior is too aggresive. America and Semits are incompatible.

Nobody (including the Jews) wants to commit genocide...

Just kick 'em out of Eretz Yisrael and shove 'em across the borders to Jordan and Lebanon...
Slow motion genocide
"According to Israeli historian Ilan Pappe, Israel has conducted state-sponsored genocide against the Palestinians for decades and intensively in Gaza. In a September 2006 Electronic Intifada article titled 'Genocide in Gaza' he wrote:

“'A genocide is taking place in Gaza….An average of eight Palestinians die daily in the Israeli attacks on the Strip. Most of them are children. Hundreds are maimed, wounded and paralyzed. (It’s become) a daily business, now reported (only) in the internal pages of the local press, quite often in microscopic fonts. The chief culprits are the Israeli pilots who have a field day,' like shooting fish in a barrel.

They were lucky to be allowed to have the option of keeping their lands after they lost a war, which Israel fought for the sake of their own survival.
In 1948, 650,000 Jews inflicted their state on 1.3 million Arabs resulting in the displacement of 750,000 Arabs from their homes, businesses, and bank accounts. Jews from Europe were given the lands and possessions of displaced Arabs, and the land thefts continue to this very day.

Gaza City - Hesham el-Moghraby stands in the centre of his living room, looking down at two large tombs. He takes his baseball cap off, runs one hand over his head, and puts the cap back on.

"There is no other place that I know," Moghraby tells Al Jazeera from inside his family's dark shack, which brims with piles of salvaged tyres, firewood, plastic tubing, old shoes and scraps of metal.

This is Moghraby's life inside Gaza City's el-Sheikh Shaban cemetery.

In the US, we called such a fellow Benedict Arnold.

Early Christianity had its Judas, too, come to think of it.

Pfffffttttt.

"The 43-year-old cannot say exactly how he ended up living in a makeshift home between gravestones; all he knows is that his family has lived here ever since the Nakba, the 1948 expulsion of Palestinians from their lands."

700,000 Arabs were ethnically cleansed in 1948, and their homes, businesses, orchards, and bank accounts were given to Holocaust survivors.

I read where you posted that earlier. It goes from one heart-breaking detail to another especially how they lost such a prosperous industry in the orange groves, shipping tens of millions of crates.

Such a waste to take a thriving city like Bride of the Sea and destroy it and its people's will, which was great until 1948. The small number that stayed were taken from a paradise and immediately thrown into a ghetto.

"The thesis of (Pappe's) book is that the forced move of Palestinians to the Arab world was an objective of the Zionist movement, and a must for the desired character of the Jewish state.

"According to Ilan Pappé, the 1948 Palestinian exodus resulted from a planned ethnic cleansing of Palestine that was implemented by the Zionist movement leaders, mainly David Ben-Gurion and the other ten members of his 'consultancy group' as referred to by Pappé.

"The book argues that the ethnic cleansing was put into effect through systematic expulsions of about 500 Arab villages, as well as terrorist attacks executed mainly by members of the Irgun and Haganah troops against the civilian population. Ilan Pappé also refers to Plan Dalet and to the village files as a proof of the planned expulsions."

Pappe was one person-----he was an angry man based on the fact that his dream of an entirely communist and entirely
atheist "Israel" was not accomplished-----he was a
frustrated POL POT. Pappe had more in common with
Pol Pot and Adolf Hitler and Stalin and Mao than even you.
He was not "appreciated" in Israel and that fact made him
even more bitter

Plan Dalet sheds light on when the Zionist plans for the ethnic cleansing of Palestine began:
"According to the Israeli Yehoshafat Harkabi, "Plan Dalet" called for the conquest of Arab towns and villages inside and along the borders of the area allocated to the proposed Jewish State - according to the UN Partition Plan.[3]

"In case of resistance, the population of conquered villages was to be expelled outside the borders of the Jewish state. If no resistance was met, the residents could stay put, under military rule."
