Is Rick Perry Dumb?

lol.

Ok.

How did you do on Sunday? We lost power for about 8 hours......and some flooding...tres down all around me but on MY lawn. I was one of the lucky ones.

Take it to PMs.

People might actually think we are friends or something.
hey...I thought we were?
Dam..I hate your posts...completely disagree with your ideology...but man...you are a guy who is passionate about what you believe in. How can one not respect that?

Is this the extent of the Democrat playbook? Anyone who is Republican is "dumb". Are you that bereft of ideas that you can't run against a candidate with anything other than trying to claim they are dumb?

If you guys are so much smarter than anyone else, why can't you persuade people to listen to you rather than resorting to ridicule?

Not at all!!! Huntsman doesn't appear to be dumb. Paul doen't appear to be dumb. Just the front runners, but then they're playing to their base!!! Read into that whatever you like. :eusa_whistle:

Lets go to the Scorecard..

Bachmann- DUMB
Gingrich- Intelligent
Perry - DUMB
Cain- Intelligent
Paul- Intelligent
Santorum- DUMB
Romney- Intelligent
Huntsman- Intelligent

Is Rick Perry dumb? - Jonathan Martin - POLITICO.com

Strip away the euphemisms and Rick Perry is confronting an unavoidable question: Is he dumb — or just “misunderestimated?”

Doubts about Perry’s intellect have hounded him since he was first elected as a state legislator nearly three decades ago. In Austin, he’s been derided as a right-place, right-time pol who looks the part but isn’t so deep — “Gov. Goodhair.” Now, with the chatter picking back up among his enemies and taking flight in elite Republican circles, the rap threatens to follow him to the national stage.

“He’s like Bush only without the brains,” cracked one former Republican governor who knows Perry, repeating a joke that has made the rounds.

If this country has LEARNED anything--it is that people all over this country--speak differently--some with accents--some that stutter--some that pause--and some that can even massacre the English language by mispronouncing a word or two.

And this has absolutely NOTHING to do with experience and being able to manage a job.

We have heard from Democrats--that Reagan was just a DUMB cowboy--Bush was DUMB--primarily because of the way he talked--they judged him.

And what did we get from all this. A community organizer President--that could thrill the masse's with perfectly pronounced speech's--read from a teleprompter--and written by someone else. The most intellectual President--(comparable to Jimmy Carter's I.Q)-who is also an economic moron--and is in the process of destroying this country.

And of course the left wing media is going to attack GOP candidates as being dumb-judged-by their speech--because it has worked for them in the past.

Apparently Obama is ultra intelligent.

Exactly where has that gotten us?

Osama Bin Laden and a mess of dead terrorists.

Record number of Illegals deported.

National Guard on the South West border.

They only thing he hasn't figured out is that no matter what he does..there is absolutely no way to please conservatives if you are not on their football team.

AND NOW FOR IRONY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this applies to you now

If you follow my posts..I never called Bush a moron. However I thought his presidency was very incompetent.

And if he was such a good pilot..and by all stories I've read about his flying he was..why didn't he serve in Vietnam..which was in sore need of pilots?

I dont know I'm not a friend of George Bush nor am I involved with anyone in charge of decision making way back then.

Either way your 2 posts one right after the other were hillariously ironic.

"No matter what he does no way to please conservatives" followed by "Perry is a cave dweller" was just too funny not to comment on.

What percentage of total jobs in all 50 (not 57) states that were created, since obama took office, happened in texas?

47%..........he is smart as far as creating jobs and getting re-elected for his decision making goes (10 and 0 election record)

Yapping at conservatives for saying obama is dumb with his policies then calling perry a cave man was and is still highly entertaining in its irony.

Oh of course you don't know. There's plenty of material out there that relates to why Bush didn't go to Vietnam, included a statement about not wanting to blow his eardrum out with a shotgun to avoid going..but that's all beyond anything you want to look at.

And of course my two posts are "hilariously" ironic. Why? Because real metrics baffle most conservatives. Bush was handed an economy that was in a slight recession, but largely was over. What did he do? To "encourage" growth..he handed the wealthy (His base as he himself pointed out) a huge tax cut, brought interest rates down to zero, offered up tax holidays to offshore profits, changed overtime rules to favor employers, defunded regulators and let it be known to regulators they should be looking the other way. What effect did that have? Well employers started closing down factories..over 50k and moved them offshore. They started laying people off..not low paying jobs, mind you..but high paying upper middle class positions. In droves. They put together fancy financial instruments no one understood until it was to late. And for his last act he bailed out the very same people that fleeced the public of wealth. In other words he enabled the "wealth extractors" in a way nobody else has done.

In just three years..Obama has managed to shore up the economy..and at this point, created MORE jobs then Bush did in his whole 8 year administration. That..with an opposing party that has been extremely obstructionist..almost to the point of shutting down government (Which is nothing new..they did it with Clinton too, before they impeached him over bullshit).

Perry makes Bush look like a genius.

So I am saying so.

You liked Bush? Well you ain't seen nothing yet.

I dont care for bush, I liked his tax policy and his war on terror policies (sans the patriot act) but that was it.

Interesting...say RW lets conduct an exercise.....I know you hate to provide or even be asked for a link, but you had no problem providing one here…..but, in any case, I will make it 'worth your while'.

I will pay your yearly contributing membership USMB donation fee if you can find me an msm or some such statured News- Internet mag. Like; Politico, The Hill, Roll Call, National Journal etc. that titled, crafted, source quoted and posted an alike article using Obama instead of Perry as you have seen and linked to here.

thx in advance. go head....its cool, I'll wait...

I never posted that Bush was a moron. I addressed your "pilot" thing..and why I thought Bush's presidency was incompetent.

As to Perry? Yeah..he is stupid.

His stewardship of Texas is not at all impressive given it's sorry state. And any "success" has come from government spending, which interesting enough, Perry evoked the option to secede over before he so uncermoniously used to to plug up his budget holes.

Perry's statements during his "campaign" have shown him to be a rank amateur who thinks the rest of the country is like Texas. Newsflash..it isn't.

This >>>>>>> Texas A&M Aggie.

Perry may or may not have a sufficient IQ(Intelligent Quotient), but he obviously does not have a sufficient EQ(Emotional Quotient), which results in his high propensity for speaking before he thinks and the ridiculous Gaffs the media has caught him in. Perry will never be President, but he may be admired by the low brows in the solidly red states of the deep south, as he reflects their insufficient levels of EQ.

Yes...he is.

You can't be dumb and govern a state for 10 years like Perry did. Only a partisan hack would suggest it. Get ready for the most vicious partisan political campaigns in history. The dems cannot run on their record so they will smear the repubs with anything they can, and make stuff up and smear 'em with that if they can't find anything that's true.

So if he was able to achieve great success by using government funds to create jobs in his state at a much greater rate than any other state.....then I assume the other 49 governors must be total morons.

I mean...they didnt perform nearly as well as the "dumb guy"

Correct?

Nor can you be dumb and oversee the creation of 47% of ALL JOBS CREATED IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY under obama's presidency, in the state of texas.
