Breaking News..Rick Perry just said Man is not the main contributor to Climate Change

Since when is something that is obvious to anyone who takes at least five minutes to think about it breaking news?

I'll worry about global warming when the alarmists ACTUALLY worry about it.

They can start by moving out of NEW YORK CITY because of the flood that AL GORE predicted would occur.

Oh the horror the Washington Compost must feel..damn the AGW cult and junk science is going on steroids ..

Rick Perry just denied that humans are the main cause of climate change

By Steven Mufson June 19 at 2:40 PM

an interview on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” whether he believed that carbon dioxide was “the primary control knob for the temperature of the Earth and for climate,” Perry said that “No, most likely the primary control knob is the ocean waters and this environment that we live in.”

Perry added that “the fact is this shouldn’t be a debate about, ‘Is the climate changing, is man having an effect on it?’ Yeah, we are. The question should be just how much, and what are the policy changes that we need to make to effect that?”

[A bitter scientific debate just erupted over the future of the U.S. electric grid]

Perry’s comments fall in line with what Environmental Protection Agency administrator Scott Pruitt said in a March interview on the program. Pruitt said then that he does not believe carbon dioxide is a primary contributor to global warming.

Interesting conclusion from our Energy Secretary

Did he base it on the input of Climate Scientists or rightwing blogs written by the oil companies?
Why don't you fucked up progressives produce your own energy?
And quit asking others to fund experimental energy that is decades away from being affordable and reliable?
We WILL produce affordable and reliable energy--that has gone way beyond the experimental phase already. Just get out of the way.
I live in coal/oil/natural gas country... we make do with what we have here. We don't have renewable energy available here in the northern plains it's not suited for it…
You don't have wind? I'm in Maine; solar won't fly here, either except as a secondary system. But we're experimenting with tidal energy and off shore wind farms. Use what you have.

Proof that denial is a religion to the Right!
How much CO2 was put in the air by the massive forest fire in Portugal?
About 1% of the total from economic sectors.

Yeah, right!

So if you have 100 such fires, that means man would be 50% right?

Volcanic activity, cow farts and termites not included. Right?

No what's interesting is the left is in horror over anyone questioning the Church of man made climate change.

The earth has had 5 major ice ages. Guess what happened in between?

But if you're thinking of the last heavy glaciation as the "ice age", then right now we are somewhere near the maximum of the most recent interglacial warmings. Meaning, this would normally be about as good as it gets in terms of glacial retreat. In this context, we're not in an ice age; relatively speaking, this is the height of summer.

The "melting of all glaciers" wouldn't be typical of recent interglacial periods, at least not for the last 800,000 years or so; the Antarctic ice sheet as been continuous through at least the last 4 interglacial episodes. There's every reason to think that, based on the observed climate behavior, glaciation would begin to increase relatively soon (within 1,000s or 10,000s of years).

However, at no time in the last 800Ky were carbon dioxide or methane levels anywhere near as high as they are now. Human activity has raised the level of these greenhouse gases (GHGs) to much higher levels then naturally occurred (+30% for CO2, roughly double for methane). With the increased GHGs, the atmosphere retains much more heat, so there's a continued warming trend now that almost certainly won't be like the last 4 cycles.

So yes, it's possible that all the glaciers would melt, but this would be an extraordinary deviation from the climate patterns the Earth has seen for several million years. To say that it would be the "normal" course of events doesn't seem likely.

How does the fact that we are still in an ice age affect the climate change debate? - Quora
