Is Glen Beck going to Egypt?

I am glad I do not see reality as you do.

Thank God I don't either. I don't even have a clue what she's talking about as far as using violence or coercion to take money from some people to give it to others. Huh? She provides no examples, of course, just a twisted generality based on nothing but perhaps the fear instilled by maniacal statements from people like Glenn Beck who CLAIM that "those people will eventually come and take it from you."

Avatar4321 is a she???

Nope.

The only power governments have is force. If you take money from one group to give to another you are using violence or the threat thereof.

Yes, BBC was biased: Mark Thompson admits a 'massive' lean to Left | Mail Online

The BBC has long been accused of being institutionally biased towards the Left, and an internal report from 2007 said it had to make greater efforts to avoid liberal bias.
That report criticised the BBC for coming late to several important stories including euroscepticism and immigration, which it described as 'off limits in terms of a liberal-minded comfort zone'.

Your list is ridiculous.

Ah, another mouth-breathing fox news defender. Here's an Idea... Why don't you go to NPR and click on the podcast for BBC world news and LISTEN TO IT. Then come back to me and try to prove any bias in the reporting. I dare you. Please take down your gaelic phrase, neocon. You are a disgrace to those noble people.

I don't think Beck would be a good person to send to Egypt, his views would be considered too extreme over there

1) Democracy, freedom, religous toleration
2) An ardent supporter of America and its values
3) Putting American security first
4) He doesnt want to "understand" Islamofascists, he just wants them gone

Obviously, this would not sit well with the majority of the protesters in the streets of Cairo. If you are looking for an ambassador to go over there that Egyptians would embrace, I think Obama would be a much better choice.

That's how he ropes you in. Then, if you listen carefully, he
1) Does NOT want religious freedom.
2) Supports HIS values of what HE deems the face of America should look like.
3) Encourages revolutionary tactics masquerading as "securing" American values.
4) Is hardly a "new" idea conceived by the Great Glenn Beck.
^^^ that right there shows you dont ever actually listen or watch the man
stop trusting those liars at mediamatters

Media Matters doesn't lie about Glenn Beck. As I pointed out, and as you would see from the page devoted just to Beck, they carefully avoid accusations such as yours that they LIE by posting verbatim quotes and/or videos of Beck's statements. How can that be considered lying?

Why don't you try to explain some of his antics and statements, then, if you truly believe he is being honest (and fair) in his analyses. And yes, I do watch his show, although not regularly because it usually leaves me pissed off.

Beck's been talking about non-violence for nearly 2 years. Emphasizing it the most for several months prior to the 8-28 event.

As for pouring gasoline on somone, please provide evidence. See below.

And yes, Glenn is a horrible person for encouraging people to study history and faith and discover who they really are. He is such a horrible person for encouraging individuals to be honest, to have faith, to be charitable. He is ruining our country by encouraging people to get out of debt, to simplify their lives, to get involved in their community.

These are such horrible things because you lose when these principles are embraced.

Do you ever actually LISTEN to him? Here's a little sampling:

Beck's Law: If Obama did it, always say that Hitler did it, too

On June 30, Wal-Mart joined the Center for American Progress and SEIU in announcing support for health care reform efforts. The next day on his Fox News show, Beck made one of the countless Nazi and Hitler comparisons he made this year:

BECK: This is what happened in the 1940s. Look, this is what happened in Europe in the 1930s. It's what happened in Italy. It's what happened in the national socialist country of Germany in the 1930s under Hitler. These companies get into bed and think, "Well, we're going to be fine. We'll just take a little bit of this."

Then, they're trapped. These are bullies that are pushing these companies. And these companies are naive, at best, that they think they can get into bed with the devil, and then be able to control it.
And there's your "history" lesson du jour you spoke of.

In his uninterrupted efforts to attack and smear progressives, Beck would repeatedly prove the accuracy of Godwin's Law. Beck called Obama's proposal to expand the foreign service, AmeriCorps, and the Peace Corps "what Hitler did with the SS" and compared the closing of car dealerships to what happened under the Nazis, warning, "Gang, at some point, they're going to come for you." Incidentally, this would not be Beck's only reference to Martin Niemoller's lectures. Responding to Anita Dunn's criticism of Fox News' overt partisanship, Beck compared the channel to Jews during the Holocaust, with other media outlets representing the silent bystanders.

Beck's embrace of violent, anti-government rhetoric

Beck's adoration of theatrics reached a fevered pitch in April. After claiming, "I think it would be just faster if they just shot me in the head," Beck created a classic cable news moment when, in criticizing the president's policies, he pretended to pour gasoline on an average American, stating, "President Obama, why don't you just set us on fire? For the love of Pete, what are you doing?"

Beck would go on to use violent imagery throughout the year, distorting the face and voice of a "concerned parent" who attacked Dunn for her Mao reference as if he were a mafia informant, purporting to boil a frog to illustrate that "we've been tossed quickly into boiling water," and invoking civil rights marchers having fire hoses turned on them to spur opposition to health care reform.

Rhetorically as well, Beck spent 2009 at the forefront of the emerging right-wing culture of paranoia, his persecution complex manifesting itself in claims that "they are going to silence voices like mine" and suggestions that "you" would "have to shoot me in the forehead before I will let you into my house to tell me how to raise my children; you will have to shoot me in the forehead before you take away my gun; you will have to shoot me in the forehead before I acquiesce and be silent." This especially unhinged rallying cry continued:

BECK: [T]hey cannot move on these things, because they are building a machine that will crush the entrepreneurial sprit and the freedom that our founding fathers designed. This machine, whatever it is they are building, will crush it. Do not let them build another piece. So while I turn away, I want to make sure that I have at least 10 million eyes watching -- watching every single move they're making.

That his audience so easily buys into his flamboyant bullshit is shocking. The man is possibly the Anti-Christ.

mediamatters LIES

 Do you even recognize a lie when you see it? How is the ACTUAL TRANSCRIPT from his shows lying???

Shocking, Glenn is one of the most recorded people in the discussion, and you cant provide a single video clip.

And even more shocking you cant deal with a single piece of evidence he has provided. You don't even acknowledge it exists. It's as if you refuse to even come to the talbe of the discussion.

Oh and anything that involves the use of government force requires violence.

I'm not about to sort through all the videos of his programs and single out the just those many hundreds which prove that the asshole is a fear-mongerer. That you deny it, says volumes.

But I challenge YOU to find the evidence that his extreme hyperbole about the country being doomed as a result of "progressive=commies taking over" is actually worth the fear he WANTS you to have. Explain to me, in your own words, exactly what he means and where HIS proof is that it's true. For decades we've been hearing how the country is doomed, for this that and the other reason, and surprise surprise, we're still here and still doing a pretty damned good job of trying to keep the country cohesive in spite of its vast political diversity and resilience to adversity.

Does that same logic apply to private industry as well? Lookie who took their profits and bonuses and still laid off employees unnecessarily. I never really thought of this as a "violent" act, but I suppose it could be interpreted that way. It's the old starve the beast mentality.

More Layoffs, Bigger Payoffs: CEOs Who Cut More Jobs Got Paid 42% More Money in 2009 - DailyFinance
The CEOs of the 50 firms that have laid off the most workers since the onset of the economic crisis took home nearly $12 million on average in 2009, 42% more than their peers at S&P 500 firms, according to CEO Pay and the Great Recession, the 17th in a series of annual Executive Excess reports from the progressive think tank.

Combined, the CEOs at those 50 firms made $598 million and laid off 531,363 workers -- accounting for more than three quarters of the 697,448 announced layoffs at the top 500 firms. The study also found that 72% of them announced their mass layoffs during periods of positive earnings reports, and that those companies enjoyed a 44% profit increase in 2009.

"These numbers all reflect a broader trend in Great Recession-era Corporate America: the relentless squeezing of worker jobs, pay, and benefits to boost corporate earnings and maintain corporate executive paychecks at their recent bloated levels," the study authors said.

It is not about making a profit, but keeping on increasing profit is a saturated market.
It is a dead end road but the corporations are not bright enough to understand that.

And since corporate influence pretty much runs our gummit....

He doesn't say the country is doomed. Sheesh, most of his program is about how much we have going for us and what we can do to make sure that no matter what happens we are in a good spot.

He doesn't want us to have fear. He wants us to be prepared and armed with knowledge. And when you prepare, you don't fear.

Now you think preparing for whats coming is bad. I don't. I think it's pretty wise considering how obvious it is that things are going to get worse.

I think the request is to point out specific lies of media matters.
i've done it before
and i wont waste my time doing it again
i would no more trust mediamatters on things than you would trust WND

I trust any site that provides proof of what an article/editorial is saying, i.e., YouTube first-person accounts, or direct quotes which, if Googled, will lead you directly to the first-person account of the entire text.
