In the space of a month, roughly, what has Trump accomplished and are there any measurable results?

The short answer is "practically nothing."
  • 1 Top level staffer fired in 23 days.
  • Millions of people pissed off by a ban that lasted for a couple weeks.
  • Signed a fleury of vague and toothless executive orders and memorandums that by and large do nothing. Many of the executive orders do little but other than ask for status reports. Really? Status reports requested via executive order...that's called publicity stunt. He's the POTUS; all he had to do was instruct them to send them.
    • Called on the secretary of health and human services, in addition to other agencies, to interpret regulations as loosely as possible.
    • Directed those in charge of evaluating the environmental impact of infrastructure projects to return their assessments in a timelier manner.
    • Instructed the Department of Homeland Security to commence immediate construction of a 1,900-mile long wall along the southern border with Mexico, using existing federal funds. What's the status?
    • Signaled beefing up the border with an additional 5,000 border protection officers. Not beefed up, just signaled.
    • Prevent refugees from entering the country for 120 days and immigrants from seven Muslim-majority nations out for three months. Yeah, that had teeth, didn't it? Not. It's already rolled back.
    • Directed the "Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security to undertake all necessary and lawful action to break the back of the criminal cartels that have spread across our nation and are destroying the blood of our youth and other people." Blow me down! An executive order that instructs the Department of Justice and DHS to do everything they can to catch criminals. LOL
    • Called for agencies to increase intelligence sharing and submit a report on progress within four months. And that's different from Bush's Policy Directive for Intelligence Community Leadership how? This looks like it's meaningful, but insofar as most monies are granted by Congress and and EO can't do a damn thing to change Congressional legislation.
    • "Strip federal grant money from the sanctuary states and cities that harbor illegal immigrants."
    • Prioritized removing deportable immigrants who "have been convicted of any criminal offense; have been charged with any criminal offense, where such charge has not been resolved; have committed acts that constitute a chargeable criminal offense; have engaged in fraud or willful misrepresentation in connection with any official matter or application before a governmental agency; have abused any program related to receipt of public benefits; are subject to a final order of removal, but who have not complied with their legal obligation to depart the United States; or in the judgment of an immigration officer, otherwise pose a risk to public safety or national security." Okay....I'll give him this as substantive.
    • Directed the Justice Department to use existing federal law to pursue individuals who carry out crimes against law enforcement officers. Oh, good idea. Good idea. Law enforcement officials would never have done that if Trump hadn't ordered it. How ever did the U.S. get to 2017 without cops "pursuing individuals who carry out crimes against law enforcement officers?"
    • Designated who will serve as acting attorney general -- and in which order -- in the event that the current attorney general dies, resigns or is unable to perform his normal functions and duties. I have to ask...Does Trump expect the Atty General to expire soon or something?
  • Zero legislative bills signed
  • Zero legislative agendas put forth
  • Zero policies outlined in greater detail than was offered in the campaign.
There ya go. That's the way to "hit the ground running."

Donald Trump as president is simply a political absurdity of the dimensions of a 100 year flood.

Luckily once in a hundred years is survivable.

Not a damn thing.
How 'bout...

February 14

Anti-Corruption Repeal: President Trump signed House Joint Resolution 41, which wipes away a federal rule that requires energy companies to disclose royalties and government payments. The rule was imposed by the Obama administration last year as a transparency measure. Trump's government said it puts U.S. energy companies at a disadvantage.

February 9

Police Protection: Trump signed an order to review existing laws and produce legislation to better protect federal, state and local law enforcement officers. The action is a response to increased attacks against officers in the past year.

Crime Reduction: The president ordered Attorney General Jeff Sessions to create a new federal task force to share information among agencies, develop strategies, identify deficiencies in current laws, evaluate criminal data and make recommendations for greater safety of U.S. citizens.

Foreign Crime Fighting: Trump issued an executive order prioritizing efforts to prosecute foreign-based crimes like drug and human trafficking. It calls for stricter enforcement of laws already on the books and efforts to "identify, interdict, disrupt, and dismantle transnational criminal organizations."

February 3

Wall Street Regulation: Trump signed an executive order to ease U.S. fiscal regulations in the Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010 -- which was a response to the financial crisis and Great Recession that Trump's administration called "overreaching."

Money Manager Rule: The president ordered the Labor Department to review a rule from former President Barack Obama requiring financial managers to act in their clients' best interests when handling retirement accounts. The department will determine whether such a mandate is necessary.

January 31

Supreme Court: Trump nominated federal appellate Judge Neil McGill Gorsuch to replace Associate Justice Antonin Scalia on the Supreme Court. Some Democrats promised to filibuster the confirmation process after Republicans refused to hold hearings on former President Barack Obama's nomination of Merrick Garland after Scalia's death.

January 30

Federal regulations: Trump signed an executive order requiring that for every new federal regulation on small and large businesses, two existing regulations must be removed. He signed the document after a meeting with small business leaders. Trump said he wants to end regulatory discrepancy between big and small business.

CIA in the NSC: White House spokesman Sean Spicer said the CIA was added to Trump's National Security Council -- something that wasn't done by former President Barack Obama due to the creation of the national intelligence director post in 2005.

January 28

National Security Council: Trump reorganized the council, adding his chief strategist, Steve Bannon. The council is a panel of officials, most of them Cabinet level, who work with the president to determine the best course of action on security issues.

January 27

Military strength: Trump signed an executive order to provide new resources and equipment to strengthen the U.S. military. The order promises to "rebuild" American armed forces and upgrade national and global security as part of a strategy that dictates "peace through strength." The order directs Defense Secretary James Mattis to assess the country's military and nuclear capabilities.

Visa vetting: Trump signed an executive order that calls for more intensive security checks for foreign nationals seeking U.S. travel visas. The action stems from a controversial proposal Trump made during his campaign -- to prevent certain refugees from nations of concern, like Iraq and Syria, from reaching U.S. shores until they can be cleared.

January 25

Border security: Trump signed an executive action directing federal agencies to prepare for "immediate construction" of a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border -- a controversial project that was at the center of his presidential campaign.

Immigration enforcement: The president signed an executive order to strip federal grant money from so-called "sanctuary cities" -- U.S. municipalities that protect undocumented immigrants from federal prosecution. Trump's order also seeks to hire 10,000 additional immigration officers, build more detention centers and prioritize immigrants for deportation.

January 24

Oil pipelines: Trump signed executive orders that would make it possible to complete the Dakota Access and restart the process for the construction of the Keystone XL oil pipeline from Canada.

January 23

Abortion: Trump signed a presidential memorandum reviving a rule that prevents U.S. funds from going to certain health charities around the world that counsel on abortions. Known as the Mexico City policy, it was first instituted by former President Ronald Reagan in 1984 and has been on and off the books ever since.

Trans-Pacific Partnership: Trump signed a presidential memorandum withdrawing the United States from the trade deal with Asia. The pact has been criticized by people skeptical of its benefits and worried over its potential to kill U.S. jobs. Proponents of the deal worry that pulling out could harm relations with key allies in the region.

Federal workforce: Trump ordered a temporary hiring freeze for federal workers, except for the military and certain security positions.

January 20

Obamacare: Within hours of his inauguration, Trump took his first step toward appealing the Affordable Care Act, signing an executive order calling on government agencies to "ease the burden" of the policy.

Trump's order asked federal agencies to "prepare to afford the states more flexibility and control to create a more free and open healthcare market."

Homeowners insurance: The new president also suspended a scheduled insurance rate cut for new homeowners, which had been set by Barack Obama's government. The cut would have reduced annual insurance premiums for new Federal Housing Administration loans by 25 basis points -- from 0.85 to 0.60.

Federal regulations: Trump also ordered a freeze on all new federal regulations that had not been finalized.

We should be focusing on what he should be doing, besides just pandering.

He is new, give him some time.

We should be focusing on what he should be doing, besides just pandering.

Look, I'm not going to pretend to like Trump, but I also didn't hold the man at gunpoint and make him thus utter the promises he did. He made those promises of his own volition. I'm simply saying, "Okay. You made the promises. You set the tone you wanted to set. Where are you in following through with them, particularly the one's that you claimed were "day one" actions." I think giving him a month to get "day one" promises completed is reasonable.

"We" can focus on just about anything insofar as Trump made such grandiose promises -- promises that asserted that literally everything was going to be great, better than ever before, etc. No matter what one does focus on, one cannot deny that he has, up to date and by and large, squandered his first month in office.

Go check out his "day one" promises. Of the ones that align with the major reasons people supported him, where is he in getting them done? For example, in addition to the things noted in the OP:
The fact is that almost everywhere one "focuses" in an effort to hold the man accountable to his own promises, he's not acted. The things on which he has acted amount to making a publicity stunt out of asking for what is essentially a status report.

I'm sorry, but that is not at all what one would expect in the wake of his bombast. That's not what someone who claimed, in effect, to know more than everyone else, including "the generals,"

There ya go. That's the way to "hit the ground running."
He dethroned the queen, shut down that decades long celebration of the hillary crowd...nuff done, nuff said, he can take the next 4 years off, build Putin a golf course on the front lawn, install a diving board for him on the mall, tweet the left crazy, forget the football at a strip club...I don't care, his work is done

That isn't stuff he's done since becoming POTUS. Did you miss the temporal reference in the thread title?

And the point of my thread, which seems to have been too subtle for you is that it does not matter to me what he does now, his service to my country was performed on election night.
Yup

Kept Hillary out. Lol

it does not matter to me what he does now

If that's the case, why are you now participating in a political discussion? If you don't care what he does, there's really nothing for you to say. Are engaging in the discussion merely to be part of the "echo chamber" for the sake of being a part of the "echo chamber?"
