Im not the 99%; But I AM THE 47%; Thanks Romney, confirmed my Dem vote for 2012

Romney's getting real. I'm actually starting to like him. He offended the Entitlement Hounds and Socialist/Progressive wingnuts who weren't gonna vote for him anyway. Americans with common sense know exactly what he was talking about. He should be applauded for expressing honesty & reality. Our Entitlement Nation cannot be sustained. We're broke. And that's just reality.

I'm glad he didn't turn total pussy. We need to address entitlements and the entitlement mentality that is nurtured by Democrats

People are starting to understand that when you let Dems run things you get Detroit and Camden and the whole country is next.

Well, looks like my gut instinct was right. Local politicians started throwing cops and firemen under the bus in 2010 on the wave of the tea party drunkenness. Now, Mitt Romney flat out says he doesn't give a shit about....oh....around 150,000,000 Americans.

I wasn't part of the "99%" movement.

But I am part of the 47%. I was part of it when I was a cop. I'm part of it now in my new (and far safer) job. LOTS of military members are part of the 47%. And teachers. And firemen. And stay at home moms. And nurses. And daycare workers. And pet shelter workers. And tradesmen....carpenters, electricians, steel workers, construction workers....you know, the unsung contributors that keep America humming.

Yep. I thank Mitt Romney:clap2:

Why? Voting Democrat in 2012 was a hard choice. I made it almost purely on the anti-cop, anti-firemen trend many local GOP'ers have shifted to. But now....Romney reflected the self-satisfied, pure arrogance that many of the extreme right show now. Absolute selfishness.

And as a Christian, and an American who has lived his whole life as part of the 47%, I find that attitude disgusting.

And I salute Mitt Romney. Thats all we ever asked for out of a politician. It took some staffer at the ballroom of the $50,000-a-plate dinner to secretly record it for it to come out......but we got HONESTY. Thats all.

We know where he stands now, and where his supporters stand. Vote accordingly.

President Obama....if he wins, and I'll have voted for him.....man, you have to do better in the 2nd term. We have major problems, and you're the lesser of two evils.

Oh come the hell off it. It was never in doubt.

I'd prefer it if these parasites would just say thank you....

yet another liar.

He did NOT say he did not care about the 47%...he said that they won't vote for him so he won't expend effort to get their vote. In other words, he does not care to try and change your mind.

Lets face it, you never intended to vote for him in the first place. So why care about your vote?

I know I don't care about your vote. It would be like caring about how a jihadist would vote.

So,

a person who is unemployed, and was unemployed or under-employed perhaps enough last year to have paid no income taxes,

thus being in the 47%, thus getting government UE, and maybe food stamps, and maybe Medicaid...

he has no reason to vote for Romney?

the same Romney who has been setting himself up as the JOB CREATOR? The guy who's going to create several zillion jobs in his first term?

THAT guy would never vote for Romney?

You don't understand what Romney was getting at. If you did and if you had any sense at all, you wouldn't vote for Obama.

It is the conservatism, the classical liberalism of the contemporary Republican Party candidate and platform that is on the side of the working poor, the middleclass and small business. But like the drooling idiots, the dupes of the Occupy Wall Street movement, for example, and virtually every leftist on this board, the common sheep of contemporary popular culture, you apparently do not grasp that Progressivism is the collusion of big government and big business for control at the expense of individual liberty and prosperity for all. The irony flies right over your head, just like the facts of economic history—the actual outcomes for the working poor, the middleclass and small business in the hands of "progressivism" (the label has varied throughout history) both here and abroad.

You're just another fool who aligns himself with others based and what they say, rather than what they actually do, on what they claim about their agenda, rather than on what actually unfolds as a result of the implementation of their agenda.

http://www.usmessageboard.com/polit...us-and-disastrous-presidency.html#post6020621

But in truth, you were going to vote for Obama anyway.

(as if anyone who cared about what Romney was actually getting at, understood it, would ever vote for the likes of the messianic one)

LOL!

Here, take this card with you into the voting booth. . . .

You caught me. I hate closed minded people. Let me know when you're ready to use your brain for something other than being a blatant dick.

:clap2::clap2:: Hate.. hate.. Such a strong word. Being ate up with hatred.. It shows. Congrats! :)

Hate is am unfortunate emotion. The great Yoda said it comes from Fear and Anger and leads to suffering.

Usually the suffering involved is that of the person who does hate. It creates a bitterness that naws at oneself. It makes them unpleasant to be around.

Honestly, I think it takes way too much effort to hate. Id much rather use that energy to love and lift someone. unfortunately, it's not something im very skilled at.

Nonsense. I expend very little energy in my loathing of lefty. He's so easy to loath. I loath him as casually as my dog licks its genitals.

FYI Willow. You're part of that 47% as well. Not that you care about being hypocritical.

No you're wrong. I still pay FEderal Income Tax. Now tell me what it is I can do to get out of it?

But you get Medicare, right? You're one of the victims Romney referred to who thinks they're entitled.

no, you misread the whole thing. He basically said you have 47% paying ZERO income tax, so why do they care about lowering taxes on people who actually PAY FOR THAT SHIT? answer....they dont.....he is right. make the 47% pay some taxes and they will definately care about tax policy......that's the point, but you buy the democrats line EVERY TIME.....you thought a video caused muslims to riot.....LOLOLOLOL

What Romney was saying, Carbineer is that he's not going to win over those people who are happy with a Nanny State no matter what he does and that he's going to concentrate on winning over the poor saps that get stuck paying for all the "give-aways" by progressives to buy their votes.

As for who will be the "JOB CREATOR"? If Barack Obama really WAS a job creator then his Administration wouldn't have had to invent a new economic statistic "jobs saved" to hide the fact that he WASN'T creating jobs.

All this bullshit about the 99% and the 47% is simply you progressives trying to distract the American people from Barack Obama' record. You know it...I know it...and anyone with half a brain knows it.

Go shit on a police cruiser, bucko,

and get back to me, when you can afford yourself.

Why would I shit on a cop car? Thats disgusting, and the people who do that disgust me. The Occupy movement disgusts me. Maybe you can't read "Im not the 99%". But I'm part of the group, mathematically, that is the 47% Mitt doesn't give a fuck about.

Yes, I can't afford to join a country club.

Yes, I'm second-homeless. And third-homeless.

No, I dont have money stored offshore.
Unless you count the cash I lost in my wallet that fell overboard on a cruise back in 04.

These radical righties are pushing more and more people away from them. It's not that the Dems are attracting us. It's that shit like Mitt's attitude are making us sick, and incapapble of voting GOP.

I'm in the same situation, but I'll be damned if I'm going to vote for the fucker that would love to keep me there in an attempt to win my vote by giving me food stamps.
Glad he got to you and was able to buy your vote with an unemployment check.
My UEC isn't *that* much.

I was told that there are jobs out there if you wanted it, and the only people on unemployment are people who want to be taken care of by the government. Is that true?

I was also told that people on government assistance will obviously vote for Obama. Are you planning to vote for Obama?

When you ignore all the class warfare nonsense that is being used to confuse the issues for this election, it comes down to some very simple questions...which of these two candidates has a history of success when it comes to fixing things that are broken...and which of these two candidates has a history of working across the aisle?

Our system is broken and we need to work together to fix it. Which man has the skills to do that and which man is totally out of his element when it comes to that? Forget numbers like 47% and the 99%...those are just smoke and mirrors to distract you from one man's inabilities and to obscure another's abilities.

There are jobs out there.
I've been applying to ALL of them for 2 1/2 months.
Problem is, for every one of me, there are hundreds of others applying for the same job.

I'm not as jaded and slanted as some of my other right wing brothers and sisters that I would degrade someone needing assistance.
There is a place for it within our system.
I just don't believe in completely relying on it, long term.

Like pulling a company out of bankruptcy and extending it's employees' jobs for years longer than they would have worked had the company folded???

I wish I was "better than that". I have nothing against a party that supports big business. BUT... That isn't what we have now in the GOP. We have a party that supports a mindset of entitlement. We have a party of liars and cheats that game the system. We have a party of "me first" not "we first". We have a party that has put up on it's pedistal a man that has his fortune in offshore accounts to avoid paying taxes. Ya'know Mrs. Slinger.. When I was a kid Eisenhower would have thrown a Mitt Romney in prison for hiding his money like that. It was Illegal until the GOP changed the rules. When I was a kid It was considered highly immoral and just flat wrong to go into a community and force a buyout of a company that supported the life and livelyhood of those that worked there. Now the GOP says "atta boy" to the Romneys and fuck you to the good Americans that had their jobs sent overseas. The GOP spits on those good hard working Americans and applauds a Romney stealing their hard earned gauranteed pensions.

I wish we were all better than that.

If you were intellectually honest you would note that Barack Obama has spent the money meant to get out us out of this mess, BAIL OUT MONEY- to help governments overseas. Barack Obama has helped to line corporate America as much as Mitt Romney does. Barack Obama grew up in expensive private schools surrounded by wealth.. not poverty.. He never held a job in his entire life.. But you keep on sipping the kool-aid Huggy..

I'm having tea this morning. I don't pretend to be an international financier or anything but I do know that our economic survival is contingent on forces outside our shores to some extent. Also there is the moral argument that the disaster of the investment in bad debt hidden in good debt was created here and sold through OUR companies to other governments because OUR ratings companies declared them AAA. I don't know how much we have spent to help mitigate the effects of our ponzi scheme overseas but I suspect that some was offered to help stabilize a few countries economies we helped ruin.

You should have stopped after admitting that you are no international financier, for when you skipped right over the U.S. government's part at the behest of mostly leftist politicians in collusion with big business with regard to the mortgage financial collapse you stopped making any sense at all. Since my hands are clean when it comes to the big government-big business agenda of Progressivism, I don't owe the chumps of progressivism abroad one red cent. All lefties, however, should feel obliged to get their check books out and start writing.

Well good, that's called being reasonable. Your buddies have decided to label all 47% of the country that has been assisted by the government as moochers who have no interest in taking responsibility for their lives.

It's unfortunate you had to experience the real world first hand to realize what your fringe friends simply can't grasp.

Im not the 99%; But I AM THE 47%; Thanks Romney, confirmed my Dem vote for 2012

You said a couple of months ago you were voting for Dems all down the ticket, so how did Romney's recent comment "confirm" your vote? It didn't. You're just whining again because you have nothing else to do.

What progressives seem to struggle with is that capitalism by it's nature is desinged to eliminate inefficiency. If you do it right...you survive and prosper...if you are inefficient then your competition is going to eat you alive. If that's the case then you SHOULD fold! Where we get into trouble is when we artificially prop up inefficient entities like GM and Solyndra because we think we're saving jobs. Companies come and go in a free market. Pan Am was once the biggest airline on the planet. It wasn't efficient and airlines like United and Southwest came along and took it's market share. THAT'S capitalism. Should we have stepped in and "saved" Pan Am? Let it keep on operating even though it wasn't the most efficient airline? That rewards inefficiency and punishes efficient competitors.
