What is it with dems and debt?

Illinois 24 hours away from government shutdown

The Land of Lincoln may very soon be the land of lights out. Thegerrymandered Democratic-controlled Illinois General Assembly passed an unconstitutional budget that is at least$4 billion short of funds, which Republican reform governor Bruce Rauner vetoed. During the twelve years that the Democrats controlled the governor's mansion and both chambers of the General Assembly, Illinois' spending spiraled out of control and the state's public-worker pension systemexceeded $110 billion in unfunded obligations.

Illinois has the worst credit rating of the 50 states. Sensible Prairie State residents chose Rauner to fix Illinois' fiscal calamity last year. But the Dems continue to live in the past.

At midnight on July 1--Illinois will probably suffer a government shutdown

You stupid flock, it's Dem policies that created this. Take your BS and sell it one of your fellow loons, you fraud and fake
Your are the routeirishgirl, sassy, who has been outed in every thread you have ever posted.

To which party does the governor belong?

sassy is econchick with a new moniker is all.

She got her ass kicked last year on the Route Irish stupidity and the election.

She is getting her ass kicked this year as sassy.

Now, to the OP: to which party does the governor belong, dear sassy.

There is no question of worth.

Give us an argument, not your opinion, which is worthless.

Guess Obama really is responsible for the additional 8 trillion added to the debt since he took office, going by the logic I'm seeing here.

Funny thing is they should research first before they write about something they lack knowledge on.

Former Governor Jim Thompson ( Republican ) signed the bill that caused most of this mess, but let not let reality stop those like the OP'er to spin her fairytale story about this:

Big pension payouts set in motion years ago

Illinois legislators have more to lose than nearly any other group caught up in the state’s pension mess. That’s because their benefits are among the most lucrative in state government. Over the years lawmakers have awarded themselves a number of perks. These documents examine perks that were added to the state’s pension code more than two decades ago. Among the beneficiaries: former Gov. James Thompson, who signed the changes into law.
