If the economy improves drastically then Barry will get his second term.

If it don't then it will be Prez Romney as I think he will get the nom.

The President's current poll numbers show the public sees their pocketbooks improving. The public still blames the Bush administration for our recent great recession. Women are concentrating on retention of what they see as their rights.

Yes, Romney will get the nomination. That's a given. He's the Republican heir apparent. The problem is he's so divisive among Republicans based on his past actions, and is alienating women and male independents with his pandering to the extreme right, that he's a joke of a nominee.

BTW, the number one issue for women is healthcare. No surprise to me.

The public still understands that continuing to blame the Bush administration for our current great recession 3.5 years into Obama's administration is passing the buck. Women aren't fooled by the "hey, let's claim there is a war on women and they are losing their rights" strategy to divert attention from Obama's unconstitutional power grab against religion.

Yes, Romney will get the nomination. That's a given. He's the Republican heir apparent. When the primary process is over, the Republicans who backed other candidates will get behind him along with the independents needed to beat the ever loving fuck out of Obama.

There has been a full court press by Democrats to try and convince women that the GOP "hates" them because Republicans don't want taxpayer money funding Planned Parenthood clinics that perform abortions and that this is the first step towards doing away with Roe v Wade and all contraception. Does anyone out there REALLY think Mitt Romney intends to do either of those things? This is just one of a series of side issues that the Democrats will run up the flag pole to see if they can distract the voters from issues like high unemployment, a stagnant economy and rising prices.

In the long run it will come back to being about "...the economy, stupid!" to use James Carville's admonishment to Bill Clinton before his second term. Clinton GOT that message and moved to the center, especially on the economy. Obama's strategy is to stay put and use the main stream media to push things like the GOP "hates" women in hopes that it takes everyone's mind off of his policy failures. I don't think it's going to work once the Republican nominee is decided and attention turns to Obama. He was the ultimate nebulous candidate running in 2008...all hope and change with little to no record to examine. Now we've got 3 plus years of "Barry-In-Charge" and things aren't so nebulous anymore. People understand now what effect his anti-fossil fuel stances will have on the price of gasoline and what that will mean in their lives. They understand that Barry cares for those that cared for him...giving campaign supporters like the UAW, public sector unions and Solydra sweetheart deals while leaving the rest of us twisting in the wind. I think women are smart enough to figure out what they are getting from another term with Barack Obama in charge. As Carville said...it's ALL about the economy..."

It always comes down to the economy. The challenge form the Republicans is to convince the voters that the economy is not improving. The "economy would have done better without Obama" is not going to cut it
