Like Nicole Simpson she could have taken steps to protect herself but failed to do so. Now my other point is that justice is important. No one should be charge with a crime unless there is solid evidence that person committed a crime. Any one of us can be either the victim or the accused and all it takes is to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I believe that three to five percent of the people in prison are innocent. No one should be convicted of a crime they did not commit; it would be better to have a system where everyone carried their own gun, protected themselves and then let the law work it out.

I have not see the whole story. I could not possibly make any judgement based on what I have seen in this thread so far.

Does he have a mental condition? Does he have Down's syndrome? Does he have autism? Was he bullied by the other boys?

Did the other boys rape the girl? Did the other boys do something to force him, bully him, or blackmail him?

People just don't understand how teens succumb to the power of peer pressure and blackmail among their peers. And yes, they will even kill when it is peer related or gang related just to not be shunned/cast out, and that is among those who have healthy minds, never mind those that may be mentally impaired.

We have no idea what went on. The astronomical pressures in peer groups, the affects of drugs and alcohol on kids, the affects of mental illness, etc. We just don't have all the facts from media reports.

Folks claiming to be experts from second hand and third hand reports, to make judgements on the actions of minors, especially if they have never had the experience of raising children themselves?

Children do not have the actual capacity to make well informed decisions, not even healthy ones. They are an amalgam of social pressures, the music they listen to, the TEE VEE they watch, the indoctrination they receive at school, the parenting/guidance or lack of that they receive, the movies they watched, and most of all the peer groups they run with, combined with the nutrition or lack of they get through out the day.. . .


Who the hell really knows what is in their toxic soup of their minds, except the authorities, lawyers, and counselors who question their competency to stand trial.
