If Trump doesn't take a hard stance on unfair trade (NAFTA) and lost jobs, he's a one term president

All of the security issues are important, as is illegal immigration. None of it matters for his re-election if he doesn't keep his promises to NAFTA and the job and trade imbalances with China. That is the absolute central reason he was elected. The rustbelt and hurting working class which voted for him, will quickly turn in another direction if they feel their pain isn't addressed, it's a guarantee.

I think all of the leaked phone conversations were done deliberately to throw a wrench in Trumps plans and maybe force him to soften his stance on the economic overhaul as they know IF he succeeds, he will get eight years. There will be a strong push by some to maintain the status quo and in effect, nullify his election victory by ensuring he doesn't keep his promises. He probably scared many when they heard him taking his tough positions, not expecting him to be so craste post election.

Without success in the unfair trade and job market, it will end in his defeat in 2020 most certainly, probably by a Democratic Party that will be further left, and more socialist/anti-American than in it's history.

He will have to ignore the media and the Clinton backers and do what he campaigned on and what Americans need; their middle class back. NOT more debt, job losses and decay. It's very early in his term and it's so very clear already.
