If Trump can't get the $25B to build the wall out of $1.6T, the wall is not being built

for me good. the wall is stupid. it's a bandaid and not a solution. they already have tunnels that go under the border and can just come on over in other ways. i can just see some game from the cartel to bazooka sections of the wall in remote areas just to do it and be a pain.

Have you shared this information with the Israelis? I'm sure they would appreciate your expertise.

I agree. If he can do that, I would bet you many in America would support it. Hell, tell Lockheed and others to find discounts with a promise to make up for it down the road in higher volume.

When he was talking DACA his based was unhappy, I am telling you that the backlash to this omnibus bill is strong. Everything from the timing (just before the govt. shuts down) to the costs, to the Democratic issues funded while nothing for the GOP is.

They are setting Trump up for he fall in 2018, 2020. He has to know this Bill goes against most of what he campaigned against.
the wall was suppose to cost us ZERO...not a dollar, not a dime, not a penny of our own money...
Remember the shouts and taunts?

"Who's going to pay for the wall?"

MEXICO!

But if we are going to pay for it, it should come out of what they have already given the defense department, as what was said earlier in the thread....it is for Defense, that's where it should come from if we do have to pay for it..

You don't?
Why?
Nancy Pelosi stated "we need to pass the bill to find out what's in it"
If that isn't one of the highest standards of inappropriate behavior for an elected officials when it comes to just the implementations of rule of law, than I don't know what is. Doing something just for the sake of doing something had the unintended consequense of skyrocketing insurance cost across the United States, to the point many places only have one option... Obamacare, and it ain't affordable.
Well, nancy was talking about the bill that came out of reconciliation between the House Bill that the representatives already passed and the Senate bill that had already passed by the Senators...both bills had been read thoroughly by both the representatives and the senators and both versions were available for the public to read and were online for months, including when changes were made.....

So the Bill that Nancy said that about, was the Reconciliation bill, where they merged the two bills together....

so, it really is a bunch of dramatization of the right wing, to say they never read it.....they all read the two bills that had to merge, just not the merged one yet....

Near everything the R's have passed since they took power with Trump HAVE NOT been made available to the house and senate members until the very last minute and none have time to read them before being brought up for a vote....none have been made available for the public to read, before they have voted.

People in glass houses should not throw stones! :p

Go ahead and run with that....

“On Dec. 19, 2009, a Saturday, then Majority Leader Harry Reid tossed the 2,100-page bill the Senate had spent that fall debating and offered a new bill drafted in an invitation-only back room. Democrats didn’t even pretend to care what was in it while passing it in the dead of night on Dec. 24, amid a snowstorm, in the first Christmas Eve vote since 1895.” (Editorial, “ObamaCare’s ‘Secret’ History,” The Wall Street Journal, 6/14/2017)

  • “…after the bill reached the floor, most of the changes were made behind the scenes in Reid's office. For instance, Lieberman forced his will on Democratic leaders by refusing to support efforts to kill a GOP filibuster if the measure included either a public insurance option or a plan allowing people between the ages of 55-64 buy into Medicare. In response, Reid retooled the proposal through a ‘manager's amendment’: a 383-page proposal and a hodgepodge of additions to improve the bill and win over other Democratic holdouts. The amendment was unveiled Saturday and included controversial additions involving abortion and Nebraska's Medicaid payments - part of an effort to win over Sen. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.). … Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) said the real debate happened ‘within Reid's office.’” (“Senators Talk Much But Vote Little,” Politico, 12/23/2009)

we can do this crap all day long dude but the fact of the matter is they come over here anyway. a wall is a deterrent but NOT a solution.

and great. while understanding, please understand we need to hold both sides to the same standards.

not go "well, what we did was meh, but what TRUMP DID WAS FAR WORSE".

we keep trying to 1-up each other and this is what we get. *we the people* need to cut it out.

The Democrats are unreasonable:

America can’t control its border crossings

America can’t control its immigration.

America can’t deport illegal alien criminals

America can’t stop non-citizens from voting in our elections

A country without borders will cease to exist.
Yet- under the Democrats:
America did control its border crossings- as well as the Republicans are now.
America did control its immigration-as well as the Republicans are now.
America did deport illegal alien criminals

And of course Republicans can't find those non-citizens voting in our elections.

Yea, right, you support Trump 100%, but you’re objective. Right. You need to focus on Canada and the damage your hero is about to inflict on your economy. It’s troubling to learn that idiot sycophants that swallow this idiots swill aren’t confined to this country.
He has already brought the economy back UP again, from the ditch Obama left it in - and getting better and better, as we go along.

ALL wrong.

1. America did NOT control its border crossings- as well as the Republicans are now. Obama did "catch & release". Almost nobody was really deported. Trump has abolished C& R.

2. America did NOT control its immigration-as well as the Republicans are now. It allowed millions more illegal aliens to enter, including unaccompanied children. Then, Obama protected them with DAC, engaged in catch & release, advocated amnesty for illegals, and supported sanctuary cities. All things opposed by GOP.

3. America did NOT deport illegal alien criminals. They were kept here by Obama's catch & release policy.

4. Republicans see illegal aliens voting in our elections, right in front of our eyes.

And again:
Illegal Immigration under Democrat Obama went down compared to Illegal immigration under Republican Bush.

And as far as 'amnesty for illegals'- Republican Reagan holds the record for that. And of course Republican Trump has strongly supported 'amnesty' for the Dreamers.

bait and switch eh? YOU posted about Pelosi and the house f representatives, of which I answered to...

do you want to go in to the senate and harry reid now? I can if you insist, though it totally hijacks this thread topic, a SECOND time.....!

Illegal immigration went down during the Obama Administration- and deportations went up.
Actually, there isn't any real way of calculating, because the numbers come from the Obama administration itself, which notoriously lies about everything. If, however, we choose to look at these questionable numbers, they show illegal immigration going up and down both, during the Obama years. They show in the final year (2016), illegal immigration going up from 11.0 to 11.3 million.

Some other estimates are 30-40 million (just to show how far off mark Obama numbers might be)

republicans are 24% of the voters

on what planet is that a majority?

congrats to the cheeto, though, the republican budget gave him enough money ($1.57bb) to build 90 miles of wall, except not really, because most of the money has to be spent repairing existing border structure.

so he can probably put up 300 feet of 6 ft stockade fence, but it's the thought that counts, isn't it?

i imagine the mexican check is in the mail anyway.

You imagine right, if not today, it will be before too long. And the majority of American votes is over 50% (which Trump got in 2016)

As for this idiot budget, McConnell must go, and the 60 vote Senate rule along with him.
