Just like when that buffoon Bill Clinton who had 8 years of attacks and did NOTHING about it except slash our defenses and intel services, libs will be blaming Bush again!!! He's not President now and isn't slashing our defenses now like Jimmy Carter part II Barack HUSSEIN Obama bin Biden!!! Bush isn't releasing terrorists from Gitmo, Obama is!!!

There were only two terrorists attacks on American soil when Clinton was president:

1. The WTC. About three people died, and the people who did it were arrested and sent to prison.

2. The Federal Building in Oklahoma by Timothy McVeigh. He was arrested and executed.

Bush: 911

and don't forget the barracks in Saudi Arabia..

Hasn't this particular blame game been played out ad nauseam for enough years? There's more than enough proof that Clinton did a lot more to counter terrorism than he is credited for by the Bush camp, and vice versa. Clinton also did not gut the military. He scaled it back to the level it was before Ronald Reagan increased it. Actually, it was Bush 41 who began scaling back the military due in most part because of the demise of the cold war and it made no sense to have the Pentagon budget continue to balloon year after year.

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."

If you're going to blame Bill Clinton for the first WTC bombing--which occured only a couple of weeks into his term, shouldn't the blame go to Pres. Daddy Bush? The planning took place under his watch.
And--if you're throwing blame around, shouldn't conservatives also blame Reagan foir the Marine bombings in Beirut? Oh...and what exactly did Reagan do aboiut that?

Since we're getting technical ...

Iraq's Green Zone was mortared several times including attacks on the US embassy killing US civilians and state department officials. All under Bush's watch.

Bottom line though is nobody wins these arguments. The fact is that no POTUS can keep all Americans safe all the time.

yep....and the sooner everyone comes to terms with the fact that we were never really safe and never will be the better off we will be......

"Freedom isn't free"

People often associate that phrase with sacrifice our soldiers have made defending our country.

But I think it equally applies to all of us. We can give up freedom and maybe be marginally more secure; we have that option. We could give Law enforcement authority to tap phones, break into homes without warrants, search us without reason, lock people away without lawyers or hearings or trials, and maybe we'd be a little more secure.

Because living in a free society means living in a society where there are some sacrifices made for and risks taken for the privilege of having more freedom.

Freedom isn't free.
