If Mitt Ronmey wins and things get worse then what?

There are huge amounts of cash on the sidelines - when Romney is elected there will be a great bounce from the great recession; the markets are looking for stability - he will project it.

But where will that sidelines cash go? Will it go overseas? Will it get invested in the Casino? Will it go to create shitty, dead end jobs? Huge CEO bonuses and golden parachutes?

Sorry....I'm just really, really jaded...I don't trust them.

I wonder since everyone thinks that Mitt with a republican congress will save the nation but, I have a feeling that nothing will change and the debt will be 20 Trillion or maybe I'm just crazy.

And back at you... why reelect Obama when he has PROVEN he is not going to fix anything? With Romney we have a new person that may actually try, with Obama we already know he won't try at all.

Then we elect someone different until the one person comes along and fixes everything.

President Obama had 4 years to fix the United States, he didn't, he made it worse. So, it's time to get someone else in there to fix the United States. If Romney is elected, he gets 4 years and that's it. If the American people see that things are moving in the right direction, he will get another 4 years, if not, he's out of there.

Maybe Republicans could save some money by just having the photo changed!

Things can't get any worse than they are right now. At least maybe Romney can stop the downward spiral of America slipping into the gutter.

Are you seriously going to say that tripe? What, were you in a COMA from 2006 to 2009? I mean, holy shit! If R/R get elected, this country is done. Over. Doomed to become the plutocracy they are so hell bent on creating. It will be hell for the rest of us.

I think you are Crazy, the debt will grow, just at a slower pace.

What makes you think that? Romney wants to lower taxes at a time when we already have the lowest tax rates in over 60 years and the lowest revenues in that same time frame. We know that cutting taxes won't lead to more jobs because with the current low tax rates, American companies are sitting on $2 trillion to $3 trillion and refuse to put that money into play. On top of all that, Romney wants to increase defense spending.

So here is what we would likely get with Romney; the rich get richer, the poor get poorer, but worst of all, the deficit explodes way beyond what we are seeing now. Of course the Republicans will then blame it on the poor. Oh wait, they already do that.

It won't. Not if Mitt is elected. Not for the top 10%.

ain't gonna be no stability until they start showing they're serious about balancing the budget.

Ryan's plan is a start but it doesn't go NEARLY far enough. They gotta cut taxes... specifically the cap gains tax, and encourage INVESTMENT.

just electing another repuke ain't gonna do it. They got to make CHANGES.

Romney is too high strung. He'll have a nervous breakdown in office. Ryan being the young bright star of the republican party, makes a fatal mistake. He looses his soul to Dick Cheney. Dick runs the country behind the scenes just like always.

Is Dick Cheney running the country now?

no, but if he has a shotgun, you can bet he runs the hunting camp...

golly gee... maybe it will go to create UNION jobs... who will promptly demand themselves out of the market, put their company out of business, and then the taxpayers can bail them out.

If GM sold everything today, they'd still be billions in the hole to the taxpayers. yet chevy can run super bowl commercials on taxpayer dime saying 'we're back'. what a fucking joke.

Fuck those unions. We need JOBS. Not platinum lined benefit packages subsidized by taxpayers who AREN'T in unions....

No, you actually bring up a cogent, albeit Machiavellian, political point.

The most optimistic economic forecasts don’t see the housing market improving for at least another ten years; and unemployment will remain high until that market recovers.

It would be better for republicans in the long run for Obama to win a second term (however subjectively distasteful), virtually guaranteeing the GOP the WH come 2016/2017. By 2020/2021 the economy will have certainly recovered, and the incumbent republican president will win e-election accordingly.

If the economy doesn’t improve significantly by 2016, which is most likely the case, then a president Romney serves only one term, with a democratic president reaping the political benefit of a future economic recovery.

Kind of like Clinton after Regean, of course a republican congress drug him into prosperity..
