Would he have passed Civil Rights legislation?
Would he have passed Medicare?

Would he have gotten us involved in Vietnam?

With half his brain in the car, he would have been lucky to sit up and eat soup.

Well...LBJ was a special kind of disgusting dirt-bag. Kennedy, as awful as a human being as he was, at least had some class. So no, JFK would not have become LBJ.

Find a History book

we were in Nam when he died
Not to the degree that it escallated under LBJ

Would JFK had done the same?

No, he would have been cautious with putting us in another Asian conflict.

As for Civil Rights and Medicare and PBS?

Most likely not.

JFK deployed American military advisors to SE Asia, in my opinion, to genuinely avoid deeper and more extensive US force mobilizations there. Likely He would have relied on Green Beret led Montagnard counter-guerilla forces to play force on force with the Soviets and their riled up GRU led protégé North Vietnamese guerilla insurgents. I also believe JFK would have been no champion of the Identity Politics the Democrats later fully embraced. Perhaps it is all just wishful thinking, eh?

LBJ had the same Defense Secretary in Robert McNamara and Gen Westmorland was still giving military advice on winning in Vietnam

Why would JFK have responded differently than LBJ?

JFK had some major personal issues but he was all about making America great for all Americans. LBJ was all about Democrats controlling votes through policy.
LBJ cared about poverty in our country

JFK already paved the way for Vietnam before his crooked V.P. decided to create a fake crisis. The media kept it a secret but JFK was a sick man. If he had completed his term and went on to a 2nd term sponsored by the mainstream media who knows what might have happened. If JFK's Dr. Feelgood increased his dosage of prescription painkiller meds and his quirky brother decided on another shot at Castro we might have had a shooting war with Russia on our doorstep. .

Quite a conspiracy theory
