If I'm proud to be a man, that makes me a misogynist.

If I'm proud to be white, that makes me a racist.

If I'm proud to be straight, that makes me a homophobe.

And even if I don't have pride in being a straight white man, I am privileged.

The classic no-win situation for me.

So you lack anything intelligent to say.

Got it.

basquebromance lacks anything intelligent to say.

Pride is a sin, so there you have another problem. Sucks to be you! :10:

As a peaceful person, I've never had a good answer to "what author, living or dead, would you like to fight?" until I heard the Bret Easton Ellis interview in which he went on and on about how the Me Too movement had gone too far, citing the feelings of a lot of men he knows.

good enough?

What interests me is the leftist's attitude that straight white men can just eat shit and die for all they care.

Who says you can’t be proud ? Be proud.

But when you are tearing down others, that’s not pride . That’s hatred .

Being male is being a gender. Not something you achieved so why are you proud?

Being white is being a race. Not something you achieved so why are you proud?

Being straight is your sexual orientation. Again not an achievement.

You just named three things you're proud of that are in no way something you earned or achieved. Here's a tip. Don't want to be labeled as something. Don't say things that deserve that label.

But no one would accuse a gay, a non-white or a woman of "tearing down others."

You only say that to me because I'm a straight white man.

I never said I was proud of any of these things that are not within my control.

I said "if".

But others do say they're proud.

LGBT has a whole month of calling themselves proud.

If you can't help being LGBT, why be proud of it if you are?

Oh no, you are a winner in every sort. I used my "white" privilege to get where I am today, and many of my black friends used their "White" privilege also. They are successful businessmen, not some liberal "victim" of the hood.

your rhetoric is dangerously outrageous
I am not speaking rhetoric.

I am not being dangerous.

I am not being outrageous.

All I've done is start a conversation in a calm, civil manner.

It is you that are trying to turn it into something crazy.

Yeah, mentally ill people are really proud of the mental illness. They think everyone else is crazy but they proudly show their insaneness.
