Sounds as if that part is yet unresolved. If this is a private hearing, then everyone doing the questioning will retreat in their partisan corners and we'll get the same old spin. Those of us who are holding out on a final opinion until they see the testimony for themselves Thursday are going to be robbed.

While true that she could make the cable news rounds and we could hear from her personally is only somewhat of a consolation prize. But it sounds like she is a fairly soft-spoken women who may not choose to make those sort of rounds.

A private hearing, and ESPECIALLY a private hearing with no witnesses except Kavanaugh and Ford will be entirely worthless even if a transcript is released. Transcripts won't tell us whether someone is telling the truth.

Who wants to hear about a hockey game played in private as recounted by the losing team? I enjoy a good goalie fight, rare as they are, yet I've popped and buttered all of this popcorn and now, now what am I supposed to do with it? Feed it to the squirrels?

If she testifies with no evidence and no corroborating witnesses and Kavanaugh is not approved, he should sue her into the poor house.

If she actively perjures herself, the POTUS should bypass the AG and demand the DoJ file perjury charges against her. Then Kavanaugh should sue her.

The POTUS should also make it publi knowledge that Kavanaugh is the most moderate candidate he will nominate for the empty SCOTUS seat. Each candidate the Dems defeat will be replaced by a more Conservative and more activist candidate. They can take the Iriginalist, or end up stuck with a real Right winger instead.
