Cruz opposed an establishment replacement to a senate rubber stamp. He continued to oppose allowing democrooks to advance their agenda.

The establishment might embrace him but it's only to give themselves credibility like they did with Reagan.

In his defense he didn't quote Rush, he implied Rush said something he may not have said.

From what I have heard from Rush, I would assert he's a Cruz supporter.

I don't listen to rush. While I see no issue with listening to him to help shape an opinion I also believe that you have to be of your own thoughts. Your own man so to speak. If all you can do is parrot talking heads then you dont5belong in the conversation.

I have been surprised at how many conservatives seem to form options based on Drudge or other sources.

It has been pointed out that Dump is a benefactor of the corruption in DC many times. His political background such as it is, is based on cronyism. His campaign has made lofty promises, and his wild rhetoric is good showmanship but it's astonishing people are taken in by his vacuous "hope and change" style bullshit.

Cruz has been in DC and done what he said he would do. Sure, he hasn't made a lot of friends. Considering the morality and character of most senators I would be disappointed if he had.

I don't hate Rush. When I do hear him I typically find it entertaining & insightful. But his opinion is no more valid than any of ours. Having a microphone doesn't make you God lol

I don't regularly tune in to Rush, but it seems to me Cruz's agenda is to motivate the GOP establishment to oppose the democrook establishment rather than have cocktail parties with them.

You do have to get at least a foot in the door to get people inside to listen to you.

IMO Cruz has lost his way in the last few months, engaging in gutter politics, lying and dishonesty which are direct contradictions to conservatism. Earlier in the campaign he was on firmer ground hammering away at the establishment, he needs to get back to that. If given a choice between Cruz and Trump...its a touch choice. Both have their strengths to be sure. People way underestimate Trump's strengths and knit pick his weaknesses but the bottom line is he could hardly do any worse than establishment hacks have over the last 20 years, you can't deny that. A guy that can lead a multi-billion dollar business is not someone you can dismiss, his leadership skills are demonstrated. One last key point, Trump will attract defectors from the Democratic party and independence, I don't see any evidence that Cruz can pull that off.

Cruz on the other hand is brilliant, well educated, and has a strong resume. He would likely mop the floor with that hack Hillary in a debate where Trump frankly debates are not an area of strength. The biased lowlife media are going to be pulling for Hillary and trying to take out the GOP candidate like always, so we will need a candidate with strong debate skills but the candidate will have to debate both the Dem candidate and the debate moderator. Cruz has the advantage in this case.

So not an easy choice.

Cruz defeated the GOP establishment candidate for the TX Senate race. Hutchinson was a GOP rubber stamp and he took Dewhurst out who would have continued to do so. Dewhurst is a statist and I was thrilled my vote went to Cruz.

After Cruz got to the senate he bucked the party oligarchs and stood for the principles and policies that got him elected over the establishment pick. He fought them for the last 4 years and hasn't backed down.

T-Rump, AKA Dump has funded democrooks and RINO's alike. He's beaten his chest about how easy it is to buy political whores and how he has done so.

Crazy Bernie would be a more rational choice than Dump, who had Hitlery at his wedding. Get a grip people.
