I can not understand the laws regarding 'Right of Return.' The hypocisy seems prodigious. Experts?

I have is stories from my family...
Because it never happened, certsinly not to any large degree. Actual histrory prior to zionism shows the opposite.

Now, why can Jews return (except black Jews) and Palestinians cannot?

What never happened, persecution of Jews in Arab Muslim countries just prior to Zionism?

Palestinians can return to Jordan or Gaza,in case a 3rd Palestinian state is created they should settle there. The Tamimi tribe might settle in Qatar, where their royal family rules a state.

Go Kurds!

How is this one so difficult to solve? The Israeli government, through law, guarantees Jews, regardless of where they dwell, to move to Israel. They only need to claim one Jewish grandparent to qualify and Israel must facilitate their immigration.

On the other hand, even though the right of return is guaranteed by international law, the Palestinians cannot.

How does Israel keep skirting this simple issue? And is this just more evidence that the zionists do not want peace?

My understanding is, that the vast majority of the expelled Palestinian people as well as those who are still there require this simple step if there is to be a true and lasting peace. It is clear in international law and understood in the international community this way. What is the big deal?

You don’t understand much, because you are a retarded twat!

The right of return in IHL is and has always been the right to return to your country of origin. It is really very simple and hardly worth a thread. In this, a civil war, the Jewish people have the right to return to Israel. And the Arab Palestinians have the right (will have the right) to return to Arab Palestine.

Probably millions, but not in Israel,

Are you saying Jews aren't from Israel?

Because I'm pretty sure they are.
In the bible, sure, but not the ones who came from Europe, they came from another continent completely.

A civil war is not what we call it when an army from another continent conquers a people far away.

Well, then, there is no right to return for the Arab Palestinians who are living on other continents. You can't have it both ways. Either the right to return exists for ALL peoples, or for none. You can't pick and choose which have it and which don't.

Under right of return laws, from what I understand, where the refugees live does not matter.

The Europeans though were literally FROM another continent and had never even been in Palestine... ever! Big difference.

The Israeli government holds all the cards. It's that simple. Over a period of nearly a century the Jews gradually took away the homeland of the Palestinians with the backing of the US and Great Britain. Today they are just pushing the remainder out to the country in order to make sure there is no two state solution thus guaranteeing continued fighting in Middle East.

There are plenty of Arab Palestinians who have never set foot in Palestine. They are literally from another continent. No right of return then. Can't have it both ways.

You can only be speaking of their children whose rights of return to their parents homeland appears guaranteed in international law, no?

The law applies to both or to neither. You can't have it both ways. The Jewish people return to Israel. The Arab Palestinian people return to Arab Palestine.

What is wrong with that?

About 900,000, who were expelled from Arab lands.

The Imams aren't telling you the whole story, little Islamonazi boy.
Well, the Palestinians and their children now total in the millions. Around 6 million in fact.

So you finally admit that eventually Israel will have a Palestinian majority and be annexed to “ Palestine” Takes Guts, Regatdinv E. Jerusalem that is where Israel’s sacred Religious Sites are. They are never going to give that up. According to “ internationaal law” Jordan was supposed to let the Israelis have acces to it after 1948 but of course didn’t. According to “ International Law” it is illegal to initiate War for the sole purpose of destroying aa Country and it’s people but apparently the Arabs ( and you) don’t care about that either.

Yawn.,,, Making Israel have an Arab Majority with the Israelis having NO rights to E. Jerusalem (1948-1967) until Israel captured it. The Tinman IS funny!

Because Israel is a country that belongs to the Jews.

There is no country of Palestine.

But that is exactly what abi is all about.

Israel had rights to E. Jerusalem before 1967? Abbas stated Israelis don’t have to leave? Links to Israel’s right to E. Jerusalem if the 67 Borders are recognized ( that will never happen) Tinman, you ARE funny!!!!

Shusha
Have you watched the video?

If not, is this, from the video accurate:

Many international agreements guarantee the right of return to refugees even if there is a successor government--they cannot be left stateless. The UN divided Palestine, without legal basis, in 1947 and in 1948 seeing the refugees it did not condone or foresee took responsibility for them. The treaty of Lausanne, 1923 recognized them as citizens as the world did, including Israel until a Court case in 1950 and a Law in 1952 to 'denationalize' them. UN Resolution 194 however accepted their citizenship and Right of Return.

Well, then, there is no right to return for the Arab Palestinians who are living on other continents. You can't have it both ways. Either the right to return exists for ALL peoples, or for none. You can't pick and choose which have it and which don't.

Teddy, you seem obsessed with me and not these topics. I feel honored, but:
