UN Resolution 194: Palestinians has the right to return to their homes stolen by Israel

1. "Apartheid" is an ugly word that should be avoided.

2. But, yes, intellectually honest observers agree that the Palestinians in the West Bank live, uh, "separated" from Israeli settlers.

3. Yes, Palestinians have a system of passes that lets them enter certain zones and prohibits them from entering others.

4. Yes, 60% of the West Bank is controlled by the Israeli authorities. The Palestinian Authority has little authority.

5. Yes, Palestinian settlements have been demolished to make room for Israeli settlers.

6. Yes, many Palestinians are very, very angry about being treated in such a fashion.

7. Here in the States, the noisy and violent pro-Palestine protests and especially the verbal and physical attacks against Jewish people are only hurting the Palestinian cause.

8. The Democratic Party is truly between a rock and a hard place.

I would say it is even much worse than that.
There are only 7 million Israelis but they have the lates arms the US can fund and have taken 85% of Palestine by force and without compensation.
The 13 million native Palestinians are blockaded on to only 15% of their country, and not allowed to farm, trade, or do anything to survive. They are being starved to death. So it is actually much WORSE than just simple Apartheid.

Thank you for your input.

Bear in mind that the thread is about Palestinians having the right to return to their stolen homes in what's now called "Israel".

Israel will never do that because then the Zionists would actually have to buy and pay for properties they currently are illegal squatters on.
Its much cheaper to just murder the natives like they did at Deir Yassin and dozens of other villages they massacred.

Yea…. Right…. That’s why she defended the increased Antisemitism in the US and Worldwide after Oct 7th

Wrong.
First of all, the word Semitic means "of Arab origins", from Shem, the fabled son of Noah who fathered the Arab race.
So it should be capitalized and spelled "anti-Semitism", but it would still mean anti-Arab, not anti-Jew.
Second is that the anti-Jewish sentiment is earned and deserved by people who incorrectly claim to be the Chosen and be able to just take whatever they decide is a Promised Land.

They are being starved to death.

This lot don’t look starving to me. Behold the pot bellies.

You’d better hold the UN to account.

You‘ve obviously never heard about The Sursock Purchases.

Thank you for your incredibly stupid and ignorant post Anti Semitism has been around for over 2,000 years

That is very ignorant, since the Hebrew are Arabs.
There are all religions in all Arab countries, and there are no Muslim countries.
Israel is the only country in the world that tried to be exclusive for one religion only.

There are all religions in all Arab countries, and there are no Muslim countries.

Saudi Arabia isn't exclusively muslim?

Israel is the only country in the world that tried to be exclusive for one religion only.

Aren't there Christians and muslims in Israel?

The Ottoman Empire never claimed to "own" the land, just to rule it for purposes of collecting taxes.
The land was owned by the Palestinian natives who lived there.

And the Ottoman Empire was not defeated by the British, but by the Arabs who combined under Lawrence of Arabia, to defeat the Ottoman Empire.
So the Arabs were owed their land being made independent countries, by Mandate.

Lol.. TE Lawrence was too late. That's why he left so quickly and was so angry. The British bet on the wrong guy.. they backed Husseini instead of ibn Saud.

The United Nations General Assembly adopts resolution 194 (III), resolving that

“refugees wishing to return to their homes and live at peace with their neighbours should be permitted to do so at the earliest practicable date, and that compensation should be paid for the property of those choosing not to return and for loss of or damage to property which, under principles of international law or equity, should be made good by the Governments or authorities responsible.”

Palestine refugees

UNRWA is unique in terms of its long-standing commitment to one group of refugees. It has contributed to the welfare and human development of four generations of Palestine refugees, defined as “persons whose normal place of residence was Palestine during the period 1 June 1946 to 15 May 1948, and who lost both home and means of livelihood as a result of the 1948 War.” The descendants of Palestine refugee males, including legally adopted children, are also eligible for registration.

UNRWA services are available to all those living in its areas of operations who meet this definition, who are registered with the Agency and who need assistance. When the Agency began operations in 1950, it was responding to the needs of about 750,000 Palestine refugees. Today, some 5.9 million Palestine refugees are eligible for UNRWA services.

General Assembly Resolution 3236 (1974)

It is important to note that the non-realization of UN Resolution 194 does not diminish its significance or the ongoing efforts towards a peaceful middle east.
read the fine print:
live at peace
hence not 1 person can return thanks to their upbringing in hostility via hate propaganda.
BUT SURE have a Gaza home, hope you don't mind the open floor plan!
😄

Haqq al-Awdah is the Arabic term for the "Right of Return" which remains a fundamental claim by the Palestinian people since 1948. The right refers to the principle that all generations of Palestinian refugees have the right to return to the property they or their forebears left behind during the 1948 Palestinian Exodus, and following the 1967 Six-Day War. The right of return has been a central issue in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and it is considered a core demand by the Palestinian Authority.

According to a study conducted by Sobhi Albadawi, most surveyed Palestinian refugees participants living in the West Bank are committed to the right of return as recommended in Resolution 194, and that most would not accept a peace agreement that did not include the provision for the right of return to their homeland in what's now called "Israel". The study also found that most surveyed Palestinian refugees reported that they would not accept compensation as a substitute for the right of return and just over half of all participants favored resettlement in their original homes.
