How the Times Square terrorists was treated by the terrorists rights focused Obama Ad

He is an illegal combatant, and has no rights.

He is an American citizen. Thus abso-fucking-lutely needs to be Mirandized. Unless you want the whole case against him thrown out on a technicality.

they don't want a case. they want him sent to gitmo without a trial.

unamerican nutters

he isn't a combatant at all.. .he is a criminal. maybe they want to pretend he was found on a battlefield

He was on a battelfield. Thanks to Obama, another front in the battlefield is in America again. Nice going Obama :clap2:

He is part of Al Qaida which is a group of illegal combatants. He has no rights.

For months after 9/11 lower Manhattan up as far norther as City Hall smelled like death and a house fire.

So how do New Yorkers like Jill forget that horror doyathink?

moron.... no one forgets... idiot. we just don't become bullies like you are because then we're no better than the losers who flew the planes into my old office building.

loon.

Whom would we be bullying? Al Qaida terrorists.

We should become bullies to the captured Al Qaida terrorists and coerce them into giving the US information that would stop further terrorist attacks, other than making sure to tell them that they have to right to not say anything.

I care a lot more about protecting american civilian lives than their rights.

you'd sit there and do nothing? and you call me a loon? wow!

who is sitting there doing nothing? i think they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

i just don't think we should become lawless. is that too complex for you?
I care a lot more abou the next terrorist attack stopped than prosecuting them after the fact.

Law enforcement is reactive, it works best after an act has been committed, the war is about stopping terrorist acts before they occur. A big and crucial difference.

Is that too complex for you?

Bullies win wars... not pussies.

when there's no point to the war in question?
"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line."
- President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program."
- President Bill Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998

"We must stop Saddam from ever again jeopardizing the stability and security of his neighbors with weapons of mass destruction."
- Madeline Albright, Feb 1, 1998

"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983."
- Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18, 1998

"[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs."
Letter to President Clinton.
- (D) Senators Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, others, Oct. 9, 1998

"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process."
- Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998

"Hussein has ... chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass destruction and palaces for his cronies."
- Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999

"We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and a threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the mandate of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass destruction and th! e means of delivering them."
- Sen. Carl Levin (D, MI), Sept. 19, 2002

"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country."
- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

"Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power."
- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction."
- Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002

"The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons..."
- Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002

"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force -- if necessary -- to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security."
- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002

"There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years ... We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction."
- Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members ... It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons."
- Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002

"We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction."
- Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), Dec. 8, 2002

"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real..."
- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003

This is twice now that America averted a major terrorist attack within it's own country by pure luck, and no thanks to Obama.

Instead of Obama using whatever method possible to get information from these terrorists to avert yet more terrorist attacks within the US, he has turned the interrogators into pussies instead of bullies.

According to Obama terrorist's rights have to be respected. So here how he was probably treated when taken into custody

1) His Miranda Rights were right, and was told he has the right not to reveal anything that may incriminate him, and stop further terrorist attacks

2) He was given a lawyer, who made it clear to shut up and not say anything. Thereby, making sure he doesn't do anything to help America fight terrorism and save american lives

3) He was offered a book deal

4) Coffee and donuts, don't want to upset these terrorists

5) The terrorists scumbag was put into a room and interrogated. Any information that could lead to stopping futher terrorists attacks was gotten from him. Whoops sorry that would be done during the previous administration, not this one.

CuntMike, looking dumber and dumber with every post :cuckoo:

American citizens are protected by the constitution asshole! HOpe your rights get trampled one day, I'm sure you would want constitutional protection

He is an American citizen.

Fucking A right he was given his Miranda warnings.

Fucking loons.

He is an illegal combatant, and has no rights.

That's a dangerous road to head down. A loony toon Tea Party enthusiast later and your arguments could be used to deport a lot of folks to Gitmo.

As I understand it, the guy is an American citizen who is accused of plotting a bombing. As a citizen, he has rights. That's the end of that story. Arguing otherwise is going to come back and haunt you.

All people who commit crimes are 'illegal' you dumbass. What is wrong with you exactly?

As an aside, remember the old wingnut argument that accused terrorists could be deprived of their rights because they weren't American citizens? How fast did that argument go out the window?

In other news, the Hutaree rightwing Christian terrorists are getting bail.

He committed an act of terrorism, and war.

You are still foolishly acting as if this was a law enforcement issue.

He was on a "No Fly" list, but boarded a plane to Dubai. Napolitano is bragging on Homeland's performance?! Who gave this clown a visa <gone> who gave him citizenship? <gone>

More so, why wasn't he picked up months ago and in a prison cell?

That is the difference between Obama's law enforcement approach, and Bush's pro-active approach.

Obama considers it a success if a bomb doesn't go off at the last moment, Bush considered it a success, when the terrorist was apprehended months ago in Afghanistan, Iraq, or Prakistan.

He was put on the No Fly list because he was a suspect in this case....NOT beforehand. Not months ago. Not years ago. Please pay attention.

Alas, George W. Bush had bad luck, the worst terrorist attack in our nations history was not averted and on his watch 3,000 innocent victims and many first responders died.

You're foolishly acting like the Constitution should be shredded as soon as we get scared. Its a shortsighted, foolish, and dangerous idea.

At least he learned from it and protecting America for 7 years prior to Obama's reign.

Since Obama we have now had 4 Al Qaida terrorist attacks within the US.

Many of the recent legal immigrants are alarmed by the gov't allowed flood of immigrants into the Country and want it to stop before it destroys them and their communities as well. The progressive Marxist/Fascist movement scares them as well because it reminds them of the dictatorships they came here to escape. Watch Glenn Beck over the next couple days. He is having legal immigrants on his show to give their take on it all....
