How powerful would god need to be?

It would be easy for such a powerful god to heal people that were suffering.
It would be easy for such a powerful god to stop hungry and sadness
It would be easy for such a powerful god to bring peace to this little planet

Sounds like a world without free will.

Considering he made everything that means he can:
-Turn off the sun with a thought
-Have it go super nova
-Rewrite the laws of physics and do away with gravity
-blow up every star in the universe at his command
-Teleport entire planets from one side of his universe to the other.
-Create a unicorn
-Bring back the dinosaurs
-Bring back the dinosaurs in the same form and instance as they were 65 million years ago.
-Take every atom in your body and transform your body into any animal or sex you can imagine.

You'd think with such a powerful god he wouldn't care if we fucked the same gender or wanted to have some fun in our lives. Why does god hate fun and sex so much?

How powerful would the BIG BANG have to be create every molecule in the known universe from a pinpoint of stuff smaller than a flea?? Yeah.. About THAT powerful.. Good luck with all that...

Mathmatics supports the formation of the universe from nothing.

Which 'god' out of thousands can be verified beyond the others?

There is a period from the Bang to around 350,000 years where the math falls apart. After that 350,000 year gap the math works fairly well (though even there they have to use artificial constants to make some of the equations work), but overall there is some support for the theory.

Math does that around singularities. Things become undefined or close enough to undefined to require a bunch of faith..

Yeppers, most people, who are unfamiliar with those issues merely assume that everything is "proven" when they spout off about the Big Bang. The reality is the only real evidence for the BB is the universal background noise we hear no matter where we point a radio telescope. But there are other possible reasons for that noise that are totally unrelated to a BB event.

That's my biggest problem when dealing with non scientists, their inability to fundamentally understand that nothing is ever set in stone. No theory is safe from challenge given more information being derived etc. They simply don't get it.

Not a LOT of satisfying "mathematical verification" of the Big Bang.. Most of it is actually taken on faith...
Red shift, background cosmic radiation and Friedman's solutions to Einstein's ToGR. That's not enough?

A man is many times more intelligent and powerful than a poodle ... but, we're still angry when they piss on the carpet. The dog doesn't understand why we're angry ... they can't tell carpet from chrysanthemums.

As for G-d not liking sex ... you should become more familiar with the Jewish scripture concerning sexuality.

All clues to where our little particles came from and where they are going and how fast they are going. But the ORIGIN and scope of that motion as theorized is a matter of faith more than math..

One should have good reason for having faith in something.

In science, often you accept "the best" explanation. And that often involves a little faith. Particularly in cases when the theory is completely beyond your ability to comprehend the magnitude or scope of the event or phenomena.

That's often "reason enough". When you say ALL of the material, energy, dark matter, and motion in the known Universe used to reside in a space that can barely hold an atom --- that's not simple, explorable or intuitive at all --- is it??

Simple? Probably not

Intuitive? Not to me, but it was to Guth.

Is inflation theory beyond our ability to grasp? No. It is quite easy to explain and there are elegant mathematical descriptions which do so.

Does it make sense? Yes, it is NOT possible for matter and energy to exist for infinity. Eventually thermal equilibrium is reached. A condition which does not exist obviously. Otherwise, we would not be here to discuss it. Inflation theory explains how space and time were created through a quantum tunneling event which did not violate the FLoT.

Explorable? What is explorable in the past and what measurement or standard are you using to make that call? Can we use it to make predictions? Yes

Do it's predictions make sense? Yes, inflation theory explains why the temperatures and curvatures of different regions are so nearly equal. It also predicts that the total curvature of a space-slice at constant global time is zero. This prediction implies that the total ordinary matter, dark matter and residual vacuum energy in the Universe have to add up to the critical density, and the evidence supports this. More strikingly, inflation allows physicists to calculate the minute differences in temperature of different regions from quantum fluctuations during the inflationary era, and many of these quantitative predictions have been confirmed. Inflation theory addresses the horizon problem, the flatness problem, and the magnetic monopole problem.

Perhaps because the sex of your parents produced you and you need self-made pseudo-intellectual problems? A far as I remember I thought with 12 years about such problems and found a solution to the pseudo-intellectual question what a minimum of power god would need, so we would be able to call him "almighty". The answer is very simple. The only problem: Such an answer has nothing to do with god but only with our own forms how we are able to think. And we are for sure not god.

"Before time" was no before, so we are not able to ask "What was before?". No possible question - no possible answer.

And yet the creation of space and time followed rules.

Please give us all a fucking break. Nobody knows what was before the Big Bang. You are speculating, at least be honest about it.

Don't be silly.

Unless you believe that the universe was created through a special act of God, you must believe the universe was created through a natural process that was following rules.

There may be new rules for every universe, made up as the BB explodes, you don't know. Admit it.

That depends on what that City's intent for human beings and this world is.

If one believes thst this is all three is, then obviously the Deity who create a fear, pain, loss, etc... seems as much a Demon as an Angel.

But whst if this plane of existence was really just a test? A proving ground for the Soul thst inhabits the perishable body before it is either destroyed or allowed to move on to a better place?

That's my take on it. This world is just a testing ground. A place for the Deity to determine if your Soul is fit to join It for eternity, or to suffer unimaginable torture for the rest of Eternity.

A god should be powerful enough to not make deformed babies.
