How Glenn Beck Warped Liberal Thomas Paine Into A Teabagger

You got it wrong....ALL the Founding Fathers were Tea Baggers

In spite of being the biggest Liberals of the day

they definitely weren't modern day liberals... there views on taxes and what the citizen owes and should expect from the government were much different and do actually align with the non-insane parts of the tea party

And which parts of the Tea Party are insane? The ones who want lower taxes? The ones that want us to cut spending? Enlighten us.

BTW if you really want people to accept your point of view, you have to present them with more than "That there Glenn Beck is insane". It's not really an argument.

Are you saying that the Tea Baggers have an 18th century view of the economic and social structure of the country?

did you read the article? have you ever read thomas paines work? did you then compare them to what glenn beck says the man was like? it either points to illiteracy or insanity

wanting the government out of your life and not forcing you to buy any products, build an empire, or bail out poor people isn't "18th century"

18th Century America was an agrarian economy based on slavery. Due to the distances between the Colonies and primitive transportation and communications, we could not have had a powerful central government if we wanted one

The founding fathers never said anything about the government being in your life in the Constitution.
We had a flimsy economic system that relied heavily on barter and scatching a living off a dirt farm......there was nothing to buy and no money to spend

With the exception of Avatar, this looks like a liberal love fest.

in other words, you have no intelligent reply as usual. why don't you chime in with your own understanding and studies of thomas Paine?

In other words I think you're an ignorant piece of shit that has a crush on Beck.

I am the ignorant one while you sit here and defend someone who is completely wrong about a founding father?

Have you ever read Glenn Beck's work? Then you would know that he provided Thomas Paine's work as a side by side for what he was saying.

I have only been at this site for less than 24 hrs. It sure seems that Glenn Beck gets more than his fair share of attention. It seems when he makes a mistake it is jumped all over. When one of the left personalities makes a mistake very little is made of it. It may be because of the ratings. No one seems to be watching the others. When he is right about something why do they not make the same big deal. I guess it is just easier to discredit someone than give them credit.
