How do you manage false hope? How do you get rid of it? This is the challenge of the day.
I knew this Russian girl who was super shapely and perfect and came here to France to learn French from me. We had a good time, then her visa expired and she went back to Russia, end of story. Or is it?
I have had other girls since, but she is etched in my head. This is totally stupid. It makes no sense that we would ever meet again. So what programs me to hope the ridiculous hope that we would?
It may not even be a good idea even if we could.
So, the question is, how do you manage down false hopes?
I am only half stupid. But I know this guy who is totally stupid. He transferred out of his very good university here in France, to a crappy east european university that even costs a lot more, for similar reasons.
So, how do you manage the problem of hope, when hope is clearly your enemy?
