Honda to stop making hybrid Accord

Of course. They would be fine for 35~45 city/suburban streets, and not freeways (unless maybe they have lithium batterie$ ).

My main point was the eco-liberals inability to buy cars they want, because of safety legislation they themselves supported. Surely you of all people can appreciate the delicious irony, no?

No it is not the law. The reason nobody buys them, is they are pieces of crap. No speed, no power, to costly, and you can't drive very far without a recharge

Umm yes, it is the law. The federal government started passing all sorts of safety laws in the late 60's and 70's, thanks largely to Ralph Nader. If you want to sell a fully assembled turn-key car, you must pass federal front-impact, side-impact, (etc. etc.) tests.

It isn't just the electrics, it's niche manufacturers of sports cars, too. Factory Five will gladly sell you everything you need to build a car that will smoke a Ferrari. But they can't sell you an assembled car. Putting it through crash tests would be too expensive for such a small company. If you want a fully assembled FF Cobra, you'll have to buy their kit and let a 3rd party assemble it.

Ah yes, Unsafe At Any Speed. That prick Nader took all the fun out of driving.

Are you really that stupid? Wait... don't answer that, Tweddle Dum. Honda stopped making its hybrids because the Prius is better made and kicking their butts.
