Mine too, damn I hate my prejudices operating on me like that. Not all Catholic priests are homosexual paedophiles, I know that and it's damn unfair of me to even begin to think it. But that was my first emotional response when I read the title of the thread. The former priest of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Boone is scheduled to appear Friday in Buncombe County district court on a felony obstruction charge in an Asheville child pornography investigation.

The Rev. John Schneider, who served at St. Eugene Catholic Church in Asheville prior to the charge, is alleged to have erased hundreds of pornographic images of children from the home computer of music minister Paul Lawrence Berrell.


Berrell is currently awaiting trial in Buncombe County on a charge of felony indecent liberties with a student.
The investigation is being led by the Asheville Police Department.

The Asheville Daily Planet reports Schneider allegedly deleted the pornographic images in an attempt to impede the investigation of Berrell.

i have people very close to me that suffered at the hands of barbarians, i have known them for decades, some are broken, some have overcome, all understand they are loved.
