When were taxes increased for the middle class?
they weren't.
They have been. Dramatically.
The Tax Foundation - The Tax Burden of the Median American Family
Good for you in walking the walk, rather than just acting as though paying your taxes and voting for socialist politicians to throw a bunch of OPM around means that you care.I know quite a few homeless people. Some are there because they're mentally ill, addicts of some description, quite a lot are very much like the rest of us, they just had a series of bad breaks that were not solely their own fault.... but all of them are human beings whatever the reasons for their predicament. I think if more people bothered to find out what happened to people who become homeless, they wouldn't be quite so quick to judge them harshly.

Homeless Upset About McDonald's Dollar Menu Increase
CANVAS STAFF REPORTS - Unhappy meals have arrived at a McDonald's in San Francisco.
Homeless people who hang out at the nearby Golden Gate Park used to get 99-cent burgers at the McDonald's located at Haight and Stanyan streets in the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood.
But the eatery got rid of its Dollar Menu about a month ago. That move, which McDonald's called a simple business decision, means items on the menu are now too expensive for the people who spend much of their day hanging out on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant.
Items on the Dollar Menu now cost around $1.50.
Those capitalist Nazis!!! I call for a congressional investigation!!!!
The real answer is cutting spending and spurring economic growth, but you loons on the left never understand macroeconomics.

because rightwingnut economic policies worked so well.
but thanks for the use of the fallacious and misleading article.
psst... the largest tax increase in american history was signed into law by your guy ronnie reagan.
It seems that a lot of people here are overlooking the obvious, or choosing to dance around it.
This McDonalds got rid of the dollar menu specifically to price out the urban survivalist riff-raff. Probably because they believed they were keeping other, higher paying customers away. Not to sound too douchy, but I wouldn't want to go to a McDonalds known for vagrant pan-handlers begging for handouts.

We've never had real conservative policies - all have been tainted with Big Government compromises.
Reagan, on balance, cut taxes - something an economic illiterate such as you doesn't grok.
America prospered before entitlements. There is something about having to make your own way that is a great motivator.Good for you in walking the walk, rather than just acting as though paying your taxes and voting for socialist politicians to throw a bunch of OPM around means that you care.I know quite a few homeless people. That's the conservative in me. It is my responsibility - and everyone else's - to put back into society... It is not good enough to pay taxes, expect that to solve all our problems and then scream like children that the 'government' is 'responsible'. They are not. We are.
I actually have a very creative idea about how we could save taxes AND start attacking the root problems - at the same time.... but I think both the liberals and the conservatives would lynch me!!!
